In the interest of peaceful conversation, I am going to offer this alternative suggestion: If you are too busy to read her entries every day, tell her that. Perhaps something along the lines of: "I have been so busy lately that I haven't been able to get to your journal entries yet. But, in my next free minute, I will be reading them." This lets her know that you are interested and will be looking for all of her entries and that it could be at any time so they better be there. Logging onto the website to see if it is there is probably enough for now until you have a chance to catch up on your reading. It also reinforces your expectation that she is following orders without assuming she is not doing them (which will give her an excuse not to). Keeping a daily activity log was mentioned earlier in the thread and this is a good way to discipline her to write. I work two jobs and have three kids, and I can still sit down for five minutes each day to check email. Looking over a daily activity log could be easier than reading volumes of journal entries, and definitely not as daunting! I think it's very important to let your submissive/slave know that you are as good as your word. You gave an order and you expect it to be followed and you will be checking to see that it is. However, i don't consider my slavery a thankless, pointless task. I suppose in most of these issues, its a question of the dynamics of a relationship, rather than a right-or-wrong answer to any of these things. I'd reply that if you have time to read and reply to 5 pages of suggestions for Punishment, then you probably have time to check in on your sub and see she's ok. ok I confess i havent read every reply usually when they are this big I dont. < bad bad bad > anyhow I will give my 2 cents worth. besides what i mostly see of this person has strayed and you dont have her under any control my suggestion is. I assume she has a computer invest in a web cam so you can see this person. They really are not expensive you can get one for like 10.00 at walmart or check ebay. then you can see that punishment is being done such as, ginger, clothes pins, kneeling on rice or dried beans, heck gravel works to. wax, and ice, anyhow these are things that can be done by herself to herself and you will see that it is getting done. OR if no computer invest in a poloroid camera lord i prob spelled that wrong and have pics taken of these things and have them sent to you. Actually thought this would be a really interesting post, however after reading the first 2 pages, it seemed to become some sort of critique of the original posters relationship...full of what I can only describe as pop-psychological pseudo analysis, that seems so common on a lot of forums...nothing wrong with that but I find it tedious so I skipped to the end to post this. Anyways a few suggestions from the top of my head (and I loved the rice one - but isn't that supposed to hurt like f**k?) - an elastic band around the base of each breast for an hour or whatever each evening (common sense note -vary the time on how tight the band is) - high heels to be worn all weekend / during the week (time depending on how used she is to wearing high heels). - early bedtime! I think most "punishment ideas" like those are just ways for a dom to be sadistic without feeling responsible for the pain. Those ideas really have nothing to do with the actual problem, nothing to do with correcting the behavior that you want to change and nothing to do with figuring out why this supposed submissive disobeyed in the first place. To me punishment is behavior modification. Making someone wear high heels all weekend because they didn't take your suit to the dry cleaners just doesn't make sense to me.

I think that the punichment should always fit whatever was done to recieve it. So it's important to know why the punishment is taking place. In this case, I am starting to wonder what exactly is going on and if this is a real relationship at all.
