I have read some doms say in profiles they love to give long spanking scenes ......
I know there are specific spanking groups through out the US, one being in Chicago as well....

I am just curious as to what a long spanking is? 
What does it consist of?
How long does it usually last?
 
I also know some subs are sexually aroused by spankings...
as well as doms I suppose....
Is the desired result of long spankings to have the dom pleasured with the arousal it gives the sub?
 
Sorry if this sounds like Spanking 101.

Status: offline 		A long spanking scene can last for hours. It depends on all the parties involved.  Spankings in general are arousing to me, whether long or short. Some doms get aroused from giving a  spanking and it is excitable to them. Some just love to spank.

Status: offline 		Length of a scene, any scene, is usually determined by a combination of several things: severity of the instrument, severity of the stroke, the endurance of the sadist and endurance of the masochist. So, this will be highly individualized.

The tools used vary as well ranging from bare hand to paddles.

The desired result is also highly individualized. Some want sex and some don't. If you're surious, simply ask the person you're going to play with. If you want a particular outcome, find someone who wants the same.

Status: offline 		There's a large separate section of "spankophiles" which is a specific kink on its own.  Spankophiles and bdsmers rarely overlap (for much of the same reasons as swingers) even though we're both considered "off the wall" and we both engage in the same sorts of activities.

For me, generally, a long scene that was solely OTK bare handed spanking would probably be over the half hour mark.  But I've been in scenes that involved impact play and spanking type activities for hours. 

The pleasure is the same as it is for any scene- sometimes it's direct physical pleasure, sometimes it's endurance, sometimes it's pushing tolerances, sometimes it's trying something new, sometimes it's a deep connection...really whatever you can think of wanting to do something with another for.

Status: offline 		I recall one that I administered with just my hands (I spank ambidextrously), was 200 times.  The only reason why I recall is that I remembered setting that number ahead of time.

I set the number because it 'sounded' high, but once it was all said and done, it didn't go on for a very long time, and it really wasn't all that severe.  It took probably a half-hour, give or take a smidge.

My longest spanking - Friday, night, most of Saturday and Sunday morning. I only ever use my hand. I've spanked girls until the juices are running down their thighs. I've spanked girls 'to a froth'. I've spanked girls to orgasm.

I'm not one who's hit sub space yet, but in long scenes I get much more centered and focused on the psycological journey & energy exchange.
I haven't had a good 3-4 hour spanking in so long it's sad.
For me those are the very best spankings ever.
It gives me time to really get to feel and process the extreme senations and feel the energy ebb and flow between me and the person I'm sharing that with.

Depends on the intensity

Key factor to reach subspace is rhythm

Following a good scene music can bring out the best in a bad percussionist

Slow buildup is essential

I have used can or belt EXTREMELY intense immediately and then focuseed on aftercare for a few hours

My Hand is My most expressive implement but I do enjoy My Belt and an array of others

I am sure We might come to a mutrual agreement for those in need of really finding out what good percussive buildup is all about by someone who really enjoys what He does and focuses on it.

Thanks suzanne...might I ask, in a long session over an hour or 2, what are you being spanked with?  Does the intensity start slow? and increase?  Explain how the energy ebbs and flows...I am not understanding this ~~ basicly cause it's never happened to me.
Please tell me what you are thinking and feeling during these spankings?

Oh sure,  why do I feel this way..... 

Mentally I go through stages of spanking feelings.  The first is normally "how dare he?" this is when I feel like hitting back, where I'm not still and quiet yet in my head and my mind says, how embarrassing it is to be spanked.

Next is an "oh shit that hurts" where I regester what is happening more physically, and where I realize that it's gonna hurt more if I continue to struggle, so then I have to fight my own will to make myself settle down, take it and be calm.  This normally brings tears and whimpers with a few wiggles. Untill I can get myself under controll.

Then I settle into the spanking, where my mind is quiet for a bit and I relax into the rythem and sensations, the sound of his hand smacking on my rump or thighs.This can make me giggle, like the more he spanks the higher I'm lifted untill I'm floating.

If he continues to spank at this point, I'm in sub space heaven, but if he's tired and stops then I come crashing down before I've reached whatever high I was trying to reach, this can cause an angry reaction in me.  I can reason that I shouldn't be angry, but for some reason, it's a true anger that can take a couple of moments to get ahold of.  It's like I wanna strike out, just so he'll spank again so my body can acheive it's goal.  I fight myself to not do that though...

So you see, no matter how long he spanks it's never long enough....  if he spanks a long time, I get higher and higher and more floaty, if he stops, then I'm not floaty enough, and let's face it, spanking is just yummy.
