One of the upsides of living in the UK is that you're never far from anything. There are fetish fairs within the reach of the most rural of people with a small amount of effort.

Well, with the confusions and chaoses here everybody would think I was rich and could afford to buy them buttplugs.

Richville 4 miles from me
Ottertail 6 miles from me

Buttplugs are ginger and got at the grocery store, Fleet Farm has horse tack, rope is ubitquious, and I have a beautiful mind............

I live in a very rural area and see the same things you do. We do have an adult store, woo hoo! The only problem is the part of town it was chosen to be in. It isn't a place I would go by myself in the evening. I get the majority of adult toys and stuff online. It is so much easier for me.

The joys of rural Ontario:

bounded by Lake Huron on the west; 150 km or so of nothing much to the east
adult toys? Can hardly find decent kids' toys for Christmas!
adult videos? No one in town sells new release mainstream DVDs.
the two highways spend much of the winter closed to traffic

On the upside, it is close to work!

Try ulta-conservative Indiana. No, wait, try living in a community of 1,300 and miles out from them. Yet, I love being there and watching sunsets and running naked to get something from my car if I want to. But it's sure darn difficult to find a Master....

I just do all my shopping online, no worries of parking, standing in line,if they don't have what i want i just click to another site.

ya'll have it good compared to my hometown, which i'm moving back to on wed (damnit!), try this one on for size.

1 paved road, 1 grocery store (which gets away with selling green meat cause so many people have no other option for shopping), 1 school (k-12), NO stoplights, NO fast food, and of course... NO sex store. the nearest one is an hr away, unless you wanna go up to vegas, which is two hrs. now, stop feelin sorry for yourselves an start feelin sorry for me

I too live in a small town we have one adult shop right off the interstate that I won't go to alone, because of all the truckers. We had one shop open up in town and the citizens and county commisioners basically everyone got riled up that a 'sex' shop opened up and there kids could walk by there at any time and see that stuff...it was mostly lingere and the DVD's were in the back of the store and the toys were in a different room and you had to be 18 or at least look 18 when you entered but they couldn't legally close it but then the owner's were caught for tax evasion and well it closed anyway now they have a city ordinace that you can't open an adult store inside city limits. Go figure!! But I have the ability to drive 20 or 40 miles south to get things or just use the internet....now if I can just get UPS to deliver without being afraid of my dogs.....lol

... and here i am wishing i did not have to drive an hour for groceries every weekend! A sex shop??? i'd trade a traffic light for one, but we don't have traffic lights... no fast food... no Starbucks... no home mail delivery (everyone must go to the post office for mail)... It is one of those places where the passers through ask where the downtown area is and we tell them they are standing in it.

But we do have privacy... quiet....a view of the sky that is unparalleled... and ebay!!!!

I wouldn't worry about the truckers too much. Most of them are either looking for a movie or a magazine or another male companion. I know, I was a trucker myself. I often slept in the lots at adult stores along the highway because the hookers and dope dealers usually stay away.

I live in a fairly large college town, we have something like 5 stores. Two are full of stripper outfits and water pipes...don't call it a bong...two are movies and 'novelties' and one is a mix of stripper clothes and shoes and toys of the fluffy bunny type. Bachelorette party favors and such.

Fortunately, there is a good size community here and we have a couple of dandy toy makers, reasonable prices, custom work etc....Plus there is always Dom Depot for the DIY folks and several Western/Tack shops.

Well, I wasn't saying that truckers are bad or that they are gonna get me...but this county is not densly populated around where the adult shop is and well I have heard some bad stories about truckers on I-75 so I won't go there but I have seen the truckers look at me in a very disconcerting way when my Master was a few steps from me so I think I will always be with him if I ever go there at night...not to bad during the day tho.

there has been one very small sex store in my small little city for as long as i have lived here... BUT the local "wild impulse gift store" has just moved and now they have sex toys!...they used to jsut sell bongs and flavored papers and swords and leather goods.....now they have all kinds of fun things for the bedroom.....it's awsome and only a 3 min walk from my place....now if only i could afford some new toys, ha ha

I'm sorry but after reading this thread I had to rub it in.

I live in Montreal. Downtown has at least a strip club every block, more likely to be 10 of them. If I'm bored and between classes in school I may just grab a friend and wander to one of many sex shops a few blocks away. Just to go look around. The Village has a sex shop every 5 feet.

You can find anything and everything you need, be it plastic, latex, or real person.

My my, I thought the UK was bad, cant remember anything like that for 20 years! I find the whole goody goody brigade in the US sooooo funny, like those guys are caught in a time warp!
