ORIGINAL: redsky These are NOT opinions, they are just observations about what in *my* eyes has changed so much. i appreciate Your curiosity but worry now ive made myself look a babbling fool, but its not so bad, i'll just blame that on being a typical blonde! Don't we all babble at some point or another...and I ain't no blonde, I don't even have hair. They seemed fair enough opinions to me. quote:
ORIGINAL: redsky Racism, i thought that went out with the 80's! Dont we all bleed the same colour? seems to me since the government started letting other more immigrants & refugees into the country racism has risen seriously. Some people appreciate division and destruction, suspicion and vested interest. Unfortunately, we're only so far down the civilisation path, so neanderthals remain at large. I'm not so sure racism is on the increase - my perception. Could be wrong. quote:
ORIGINAL: redsky Murder, why is it a woman or even some men cant feel safe to walk down the street in the day anymore, never mind the night. it seems that some people must have a sad life to want to destroy not only the life of the person they murder, but also the lives of the family & friends of that person. Agreed that destructon is a sad part of our society and the human race. Having said this, I feel safe walking the streets. A matter for personal taste. quote:
ORIGINAL: redsky Child abuse & dogs...now this really hit me the other day, i am a sucker for charities, a man stood in the middle of town asking for money, i stopped and asked what charities he was supporting.... there were 3, Cancer, RSPCA & NSPCC... he asked if i could spare £7 a month, £2 for Cancer, £2 for the children & £3 for dogs, now is it me or is this country losing sight of its priorities where charities are concerned? Dogs get more than abused suffering children? Hmmm odd! Agreed. I love dogs, but can see why they're not top of your priority list. quote:
ORIGINAL: redsky Taxes, well im not even going to get started on *my* opinions on this one. but these are just a few things that i have seen a massive change in in the past 15 years which is how long i have been back here. Fair enough. I think society is predisposed to change opinions based on what our establishment wants us to see i.e. they can lead us down a path of perception which doesn't necessarily match reality. As an example, the climate of fear is a distorted view of society and is leading people towards suspicion and division. Not that I'm saying your opinion isn't valid.
