Well, this probably falls under the heading of "Don't quit your day job," but I had to try. I'm not a composer (not sure I'm a lyricist either, but that's another story), so I stuck to the original tune, which I don't find particularly funereal. For my fellow Americans, that's "My Country, "Tis of Thee." Dear Britain, we love thee: Land of chips, rain, and tea, Where we live free. We made it through the Blitz, Armed with our pubs and wits. There's nothing that can daunt us Brits, And we live free. If nothing else, this may help you appreciate the anthem you have.
