i'm not really allowed, but he does on occasion allow it.

blushingflower -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/25/2007 5:21:50 PM)

Somedays I wear make-up, somedays I don't.  I usually carry at least lipgloss with me so I can at least brighten up my face, and if I'm going out, I'll wear more.  But I don't generally wear a lot- I'll wear a little eyeliner and some eyeshadow, some lipstick (but nothing too bold).  I already have really long eyelashes, so I don't generally wear mascara (but I will to darken my lashes, since they're very light at the tips).  I'll wear cover-up if I have a zit or circles under my eyes.  It really depends on my mood.  I used to just do it at work, since that way it wouldn't make me late (and I'd rather give Daddy his morning blow job than paint my face).
I like having painted nails, but I can never seem to keep a manicure looking good for very long.
Daddy's usually gone by the time I'm leaving for work, so he's never given me orders one way or the other, but he does like me to wear make-up if he's taking me out (and to make it slutty if that's appropriate)

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/25/2007 5:40:45 PM)

i wear very little makeup or none at all because of my skin tone however i do enjoy my monthly facials, pedicures and manicures

Male doms - what about your female subs?  Do you require them to wear makeup?  Do you dictate how much?

I dislike a woman wearing makeup if it is obvious she is wearing makeup.  The red rouge racoon mask on her cheeks, slut cherry-red lipstick, 3 inch eyelashes, and foundation which requires a putty knife to apply make me want to get out my Black and Decker Disc Grinder.

Get a tan.  Let the surf bleach your hair.  Yummy.

Just me, etc.

I'm curious how many femdoms really enjoy wearing make up and enjoy being "done up" in day to day life.  Does wearing make up make you feel more sexy?  Do you wear more makeup when you are going to be engaging in BDSM activities?  Or are you more of a naturalist, and don't wear much at all?

For me, chapstick is dressy.  I own a ton of makeup, but I rarely if ever wear it unless I am going to be taking pictures.  At work, it seems pointless since I tend to get messed up there anyway, with brusing my hair out of my face often. I may wear lipstick on occasion but thats about it.
On the off chance I really FEEL like getting dressy, I am very able to do so.  I prefer the natural look, though.

Quivver -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/25/2007 6:23:35 PM)

Many days I dont bother with any, other days I'll add Mascara and a little foundation.  But I do love the chance to paint up and play with the dark smoky eye look topped off with slutty red lips.  I see makeup more so what fits the occasion.  A trip to Walmart who cares, yet a night out deserves that Wow look.

TemptingNviceSub -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/25/2007 6:37:51 PM)

I LOVE wearing make up!...I love to play with color, tonality, different appearance..doing art, but with makeup..:0)...what woman somethimes does not want to look like herself sometimes, she then can create a different persona with makeup lending a helping hand..so many looks can be achieved with makeup..the "natural look",the "slutty"look, the "innocent" look,...fun..fun..fun....IMO..Tempting

behindmirrors -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/25/2007 6:50:18 PM)

I usually wear very little makeup for the most part. My Dom has never expressed a preference either way- it's one of those things where the only time he'll complain about my makeup is if we are in a rush to go somewhere and I'm taking too long. [:D] He just relies on me to use my best judgement in that case, as I'm more familiar with what to do with all that than he is.
Usually just a little bit of powder, some mascara, and some brow liner (my eyebrows have this annoying ability to look non-existant on my face, haha), and I'm good to go in under 3 minutes.
For nights out, shows, work functions, or photographs, I add eyeshadow to the combination to varying degrees. I stick to the rule that you emphasize one feature at a time- so usually I'll go with either dark eyes or lips, but not both at the same time (unless it's requested, which is very, very rare).
So, not required either way, and I don't feel gross with or without it, so it mostly has to do with what is going on and how I want to present myself and/or how much time I have.

FelinePersuasion -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/25/2007 7:12:09 PM)

I do not think I need makeup, I have maybe a lipstick and it's all I need, I have natural skin coloring so blush is just a waste. I do not believe in  making myself look like someone or something I am not.

Subs, do you like the "look" of a woman in a lot of makeup (nicely done, not caked on). What about lipstick? Nails?  Does a woman with a more natural look, without nails and make up done, appeal to you?  Do you prefer an athletic, non-uber femme woman, or does femininity link to femdomishness for you?

I generally prefer femme type female dominants, however I do have a particular fondness for butch's.  Its not so much about makeup but about taking care of oneself and that being reflected in hair styling (don't get me started on the number of people in the scene with hair thats limp, long, boring, and split ended), clothing choices (again lots stuck in the seventies and eighties), acessories, and care with how the everything falls together and is draped appropriately on the womans body.  That matters a lot more to me than if the woman is wearing foundation or not.

Oh yes, I love to paint the barn [:D]

I'm fortunate that I don't have to wear a lot of foundation...but love the dramatic look..eyes accentuated ....red lips and nails, always.

It makes me feel pretty[:)]..so pretty...[;)]

I love being a woman ~drowning in my femaleness...

I do not think Daddy will mind me stating his opinion on this since he has made it clear to me. I am not to look "made up".  I can and do wear makeup, but he wants to see me, not my cosmetics. A little eye mascara, smidge of liner, chapstick , powder.. that is it. As long as he can see me and not a bunch of make up he is fine. I usually only wear enough mascara to darken my lashes and that is it.

And nothing from the GOOD 70s, and there's no such thing as good 80s.

MagiksSlave -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/25/2007 8:56:06 PM)

Back when I was a Mistress whiles scening I never wore makeup, I dont wear it often as it is but in a scene I didnt because It felt heavy and was distracting.

I adapt make-up wear depending on the situation and the weather.
In extreme heat, I wear little or nothing, and carry blotting paper
to absorb shine.  A natural look is good for everyday, easy to
do by using neutral colors that work with your skin and hair.
If I am going out at night then I go for a more dramatic and intense look.

I never leave the apartment without combing and/or brushing my
hair, brushing my teeth, and applying sunscreen.

For my part, I prefer a natural look on my subs/slaves. Some, but very light. Absolutely nothing in the lipstick arena that shouts 'bright'. Prefer none.

To me, more the apparel and accessories that would be highlighted.

But that's just me. I think I have better taste than the ordinary guy. YMMV

Jeff

i am kept like this also, but encouraged to wear the berry lipstick He bought for me. i am not ever nervous to over do it b/c He picks all my make up out with me, so i am always confidant i can please Him, visually.

edit to add, i dont even own foundation or cover up.. adds up to yuky and a mess i dont wanna deal with when i am tired and ready for bed.

< For me> That's the trick of make up. To make it look as natural as you can and subtly enhance your features.
I am very fair and have blotchy marks on my face and neck and use a translucent foundation to even the tone out. I wear a hint of blush on my cheekbones. A coat of mascara on my lashes, just to darken them.  Occasionally I may use a natural colored lipstick, but I am not really into lipstick. Prefer a moisturizing gloss or chapstick.

LaTigresse -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/26/2007 3:51:03 PM)

I wear a light makeup of some sort almost every day. Something with sunscreen. Never alot and never heavy because I just don't like the way it looks. Most people don't even realize I have it on. I just feel neked without it. Rarely do I wear lipstick, my lips are weirdly kinda dark anyway so just a bit of moisturizing something or other if needed.
