Wow, what a revival. Almost exactly one year old!

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 1:34:35 PM)

Wow, someone went digging for this one in the archives.
I dont wear makeup unless we are going out for an occasion. Last occasion was a wedding. Next one might be MY wedding.
I dont like makeup.

I'd rather die than be without it [:D] .

LaTigresse -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 1:35:55 PM)

I suppose I should add my buck twenty......I wear some makeup almost every day. I hate when it is obvious though. Subtle is the key.

kallisto -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 2:20:07 PM)

This is one of the things I love about being a woman.  I do wear makeup and don't over do.  But enough to accentuate what I have.   Long, french nails, by all means.  [:)]

DesFIP -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 2:20:42 PM)

I think he'd like it if I wore more but with the amount of running we do there simply isn't any time to do make up, put up heels and a skirt and then have a quiet dinner. Life with teenagers alas.

At the same time, although he appreciates that look, he is happy that I'm a down to earth person, comfortable in jeans and sweats which fit our life better.

RumpusParable -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 2:42:04 PM)

I do and I don't wear it.

Most days just around the house or running out to grab some groceries I don't, but sometimes I'll feel like it.

If I'm going out to an event or get-together of some sort I almost always where some amount...

During play at home or elsewhere, depends on my mood and the scene.

When I do wear it, I put it on anywhere from subtle enhancement to drag-queens-love-me.  Again, just depends on what I feel like.

TreasureWithin -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 3:35:16 PM)

My current Dominant-type playmate requires lots of dark smudgy eye makeup and red, red lips. None of that waterproof or smudge-proof stuff either. He gets off on watching it run and smear all over my face during his use. Aside from play time, I rarely bother. I have better things to do than face painting.

Daddyslilpookie -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 3:37:27 PM)

When I am going to run errands in public I usually just put mascara and a nude lip plumper on and I am good to go. Master says i have the girl next door look and he loves that about me, he doesn't like to much makeup on me[:)]. If we are going out, out i'll go heavier on the eyes and less on the lips or vice versa.

She doesn't wear much makeup overall. Eye makeup I leave up to her - as little or as much as she wants to wear. Lipstick and lip gloss are off limits if we are home alone but they are fine if we are going out.

Kirren -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 5:12:41 PM)

I own make up...I wear it from time to time...if I am doing a session that has an audience or something of that nature...but when its just Me and kitten, I go in in boxers and a comfy t shirt and relax...Im just going to sweat it all off any way right?

christine1 -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 5:21:00 PM)

i wear it when i'm in the mood to wear it.  usually a bit of mascara and blush at work and that's it.  some weekends i never put any on at all depending on what i'm doing, if i don't have to go anywhere i like a clean face, i think it's good to let your skin breathe sometimes.  i do however never go without sunblock, i burn very easily and i don't want the wrinkles associated with sun exposure.

DommeChains -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 5:26:56 PM)

I think that make up enhances my features since I naturally very pale.  Normal routine for me is eye makeup, a little cream blush and lipstick.  My lips get very dry and burned easily so I always wear lipstick.

For going out occasions I crank up the color intensity for eyes and lips and sometimes use foundation, sometimes not.  It totally depends on if I have any blemishes that bother me.  I also wear moisturizer with sunblock in it religiously year round.  It works miracles to prevent sun damage and wrinkles.  I think it works because even the dermatologist was impressed at how good my skin is for being 53....barely any wrinkles and minimal sun damage.

beltainefaerie -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 5:36:08 PM)

I wear makeup in my daily life off and on.  As a teacher, I'd really rather that my students see a role model who is confident in natural beauty, so occasional eyeliner or lipgloss is the most for work.  After work and on the weekends, I love make-up.  I can do everything from really toned down natural-looking make-up to extremes that look very punk/goth or generally eccentric.  Usually if I am doing anything funky it has to do with accentuating the eyes.

I generally do more make-up for scenes than daily life (though some scenes emerge in daily life in which case that is always come-as-you-are).  In a dominant role, my make-up is generally foundation, eyeliner, subtle eye shadow and lipstick.  I tend toward simple elegance, though I have found that if I apply light blush just above rather than on my cheekbones, it tends to make me look more "severe", which can be good.

As a sub, I have worn light to no make-up or ultra trampy make-up, depending on my dominant.  The first Dom I served hated make-up and I seldom wore it.  My Master currently likes me wearing make-up and sometimes will state a preference as to what kind.  He enjoys brighter lipstick than I might wear daily, (not unattractive or clown-like, just a little slutty, if that makes sense).  He particularly likes it when I wear liquid eyeliner.  It is more enjoyable when I cry, since it actually runs.

For a partner, I generally like whatever amount of make-up she feels comfortable wearing.  If she had trouble applying it well, I would certainly help.  (I sell Mary Kay products and even considered being a make-up artist when I was younger.  I certainly have done make-up for many amateur theatre productions)

I'm curious how many femdoms really enjoy wearing make up and enjoy being "done up" in day to day life.  Does wearing make up make you feel more sexy?  Do you wear more makeup when you are going to be engaging in BDSM activities?  Or are you more of a naturalist, and don't wear much at all?

Subs, do you like the "look" of a woman in a lot of makeup (nicely done, not caked on). What about lipstick? Nails?  Does a woman with a more natural look, without nails and make up done, appeal to you?  Do you prefer an athletic, non-uber femme woman, or does femininity link to femdomishness for you?

Male doms - what about your female subs?  Do you require them to wear makeup?  Do you dictate how much?

Akasha

(Sub):  Ain't nothing better than a slut.

I love 'em.

I LOVE wearing make up!...I love to play with color, tonality, different appearance..doing art, but with makeup..:0)...what woman somethimes does not want to look like herself sometimes, she then can create a different persona with makeup lending a helping hand..so many looks can be achieved with makeup..the "natural look",the "slutty"look, the "innocent" look,...fun..fun..fun....IMO..Tempting

I am in the same boat as Tempting

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 6:08:55 PM)

I have an enormous collection of cosmetics...maybe thirty shades of lipstick?  All kinds of shadows and rouges, I love those estee lauder holiday boxes!  Still, I hardly wear any.  I don't have time to fix it during the day, anyway, and I think smeary makeup is worse than none.  If I feel like it, for work I will put on some mascara, eyeliner, lipstick, and foundation on the spider veins (ah, surgery!).

My former slave loved women in tons of makeup, so maybe it's a guy thing?  I am very good at putting it on, and when I go all out the change in my appearance is pretty dramatic.  I just can't be bothered on a day to day basis, though.

Does making her look like marcel marceu count?

tinkerbelle3 -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 6:43:25 PM)

I SO don't like make up - of any kind. I'm 48 years old and wore eye make up for the first time last year after visiting sephora and figuring out what the heck I was supposed to do.

He LOVES make up on women and has asked me to wear it, sent pics of women whose makeup he liked and sat down with me in front of the computer showing me his likes and dislikes. I really do want to please him and have worn more make up then ever lately, but ew I have to tell you it's not my thing.

What's funny is that I AM uber femme. Nails, heels, stockings, skirts etc etc I just always thought that my face looked fine with a bit of powder and some mascara. Go figure.
