I thought the OP was about make up and playtime. NO?
I think excessive but expertly applied make up is very erotic indeed.
Lips and lip gloss in particular.

lusciouslips19 -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 6:52:30 PM)

foundation, concealer, blush, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick. A 3 minute make up job. For special nights out I wear eyshadow and love playing with the diferrent tones. Its all very natural just look at my pic. Well except I love that bright magenta lipstick!

GreedyTop -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 7:03:59 PM)

I rarely wear makeup... I'm not very good at applying it, although I do use some when I go out.  Of  course, I am SO not a girly girl!!

junecleaver -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 7:24:46 PM)

I have to ask for permission to wear make-up, aside from chapstick/lipgloss.  I don't wear it very often as I prefer to look natural. The only reason I put make up on is to make my eyes look bigger.  My skin is healthy so I don't see a point in covering it up.

I like smokey eyes, borderline goth, if done tastefully, but it very rarely is.  He doesn't though.

As far as kink goes?  Sometimes I'll wear mascara because I know that eventually it will run down my face in a scene.

SaraZeal -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (3/19/2008 7:50:03 PM)

I wear foundation, blush, mascara and a just maybe some lipgloss. I don't own any lipstick, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and am more going for the youthful natural look. It serves me well too, even with no makeup I can pass for 18 (and I'm 25).

If anyone wanted me to use eyeliner and eyeshadow, they'd more or less have to do the job themselves, or teach me how, because I don't know, nor do I have a vested interest in knowing, since I'm perfectly fine with my natural look.

I might use makeup for day to day usage, but if I forget, don't have time (even though it takes little time), am lazy, or just don't care, I'll go out without.

Washing my face and putting on makeup takes all in all less than 10 minutes, and for mascara it always helps to be ambidextrous.

I like what blush can do to my cheeks, but try to tone it down so it doesn't look artificial. Never been fond of the artificial look, either in day-to-day or evenings for events.

Nails I usually keep without polish, I especially don't bother if a nail broke on a lot of its length. I keep my nails at 1/2 inch past the fingertip, some have thought I had a french manicure :P I don't do toes and don't own open-toed sandals anyway. Not against doing it, but given the size of toenails I think it's a waste of time and nail polish for me.

I'll brush my hair when I feel like it. Definitely if I go out, not necessarily for other occasions. I sometimes like the natural look of my hair, which, even unbrushed, looks okay. Brushing my hair will remove some of that natural wavyness I have, so sometimes I prefer unbrushed to show my texture off. I use next to no hair product except when washing and conditioning. I don't straighten, and I mostly keep my hair loose. If I knew how to do pigtails I might sometimes for kicks. I love having someone play in my hair, whatever they do (except cutting it or setting it aflame).

I’m not a fan of makeup.

I love the lines, the little wrinkles around the eyes of um, mature women.
Character lines.  Battle scars.  From a lifetime of living….hard, ideally…

RedAnhedonia -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (4/6/2008 6:06:26 AM)

Makeup saved my life.  Quite literally. I wear makeup every day, and any Dom who says he doesn't want me to wear makeup ... I will respectfullly decline.

My ex husband spent a lot of time in our marriage telling me how horrible and ugly I am.  He was/is an asshole. One day, I was feeling as low as a person could actually feel.  (Mind you I am a Sub, but this was not a D/s relationship, it was vanilla). I woke up that day, and knew it was the day I was going to end my life. He was getting ready to leave for work, berading me about one thing or another.  I quietly made his lunch. and started my prep for the evening meal.  He left for work, and I decided this was it.  I took a shower. Did my hair, and my makeup.  I wanted to look beautiful when they found me.  I put on my best outfit.  And I kissed my dogs, goodbye.  I took one last look int the mirror.  That's when I realized, he is the biggest ASSHOLE on the planet.  and I was a jerk for allowing him to beat me down like that.  I went to the mall instead. I bout more makeup and some new outfits ... and didnt tell him I spent the money.

I LOVE MAKEUP!!!!

MissLily -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (4/6/2008 6:30:35 AM)

I loooooove make up! I normally wear eye shadow, liner and mascara. I use powder as a base, because I don't need much of one and lipstick, sometimes with a finish. I use natural colors and when I'm done, it looks all very natural. I also paint My nails and toe nails. It's a habit I took going at My dojo. I'd look at the guys feet and nails and be so grossed out, that I decided that Mine would look very good.

abcbsex -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (4/6/2008 7:53:54 AM)

well, my profile picture is one example of my before-sex makeup, but I wear it so heavy because Alpha likes it to be smeared by the end of the night. Day-to-day I only wear light spf powder (gotta keep that graveyard tan!), some eyeliner and when my hair is blonde I darken my brows to give a dramatic contrast. I actually find myself wearing more or less makeup depending on what haircolor I have, and it changes a lot.

midgetmafiosa -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (4/6/2008 2:16:30 PM)

I have quite a lot of makeup. I like to peruse the beauty counters. I'm quite good at putting it on myself and others. I almost never wear it. I'm kind of a tomboy at heart. And also lazy. Very, very lazy.

camille65 -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (4/6/2008 2:23:50 PM)

Makeup confuses me. I can't count the different types of stuff I've bought that ended up making me look like a freak.Foundation stuff in particular, be it cream or powder... I just can't figure out how to find the right color. I do own a lipstick (yayyyy me) and a thingie of eyeshadow that I occasionally use but I really hate the scent of any type of makeup so tend to avoid it. Even unscented has a scent.. why wear a scented something right below your nose? Ooooh its confusing.

vampchick88 -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (4/6/2008 3:54:06 PM)

I tend to dress and wear my makeup based on my mood. When I'm in a good mood, dark makeup, nicely done nails, clothing to match. The way I dress, the way I style my hair, my nails freshly painted, etc does make me feel sexy. I'm a woman, I feel that my choices help to show off highlights about myself. My makeup is never caked but done tastefully. It helps me to show who I am and let my emotions show through. I do know that pet likes when my nails are done, and I think he likes my sense of style and the way my makeup is applied or at least I haven't had any complaints yet. ~Lorelei

I'm curious how many femdoms really enjoy wearing make up and enjoy being "done up" in day to day life.  Does wearing make up make you feel more sexy?  Do you wear more makeup when you are going to be engaging in BDSM activities?  Or are you more of a naturalist, and don't wear much at all?

Wearing make up is more work that i dont need...and i'm not good at it.  On very RARE occasions have i done the whole deal (foundation, mascara, eye shadow maybe 10 times in my life).

Subs, do you like the "look" of a woman in a lot of makeup (nicely done, not caked on). What about lipstick? Nails?  Does a woman with a more natural look, without nails and make up done, appeal to you?  Do you prefer an athletic, non-uber femme woman, or does femininity link to femdomishness for you?

I am attracted to natural beauty of a woman than...the other stuff.  I think some women do a great job with make up and I may even want to ask them how they do it, but as far as attraction I notice and appreciate the naturalist more. And prefer an athletic-non-uber femme woman :)

Male doms - what about your female subs?  Do you require them to wear makeup?  Do you dictate how much?

I have been fortunate enough to find a playmate who naturally dresses exactly to my taste.  She wears minimal makeup, but is always in lipstick.  Short, natural nails, always nicely polished.

That is a very sad, but touching and inspiring story, Red. And with a happy ending (for you). Thanks for sharing it. You go, girl !

Papa makes me wear makeup if I am leaving the house for anything. I hate wearing it during the day, but if we go somewhere at night I enjoy it because I can glam it up 1940's style like I did when I still in a burlesque troupe. I love how I look when I am fixed up like that, but it is not appropriate for all times.
Papa also comands that my nails always have a perfect french manicure, my toenails either fuck me red or flirty pink, and that I am always moisturized and yummy smelling with Victoria's Secret Products. Before Him, I didn't bother with any of that stuff.

First off, Mistress has a natural beauty.  She doesn't need all that gunk on Her face.  She is so beautiful without it.  When She does put it on, it does transform Her into a different person.  Depending on Her mood, She can go from sweet and innocent to a naughty sex goddess in the blink of a piercing hazel green eye.[;)]  I absolutely love Her sense of style, even though the deprived, plain jane, Abercrombie-wearin' fucktards almost had a heart attack when they saw Her at the mall.  Geez, they need to get out more.

I do love the look of freshly painted french tipped nails, too! [;)]

I wear a bit of make-up when I go out into the world, although it's generally pretty light--just mascara, basically.  I put on lip-stick and eye shadow for glamourous occasions (like play parties or events) and photo shoots.  I never wear base unless I'm making myself up for a film or Halloween.

I call my normal make-up "war paint" and I treat it accordingly.  Like any primitive warrior, I put it on to make myself beautiful and terrifying to my enemies while raiding and plundering...  [:D]

More seriously...I feel the same way about glamourous make-up that I do about high heels, corsetry and jewelry.  Impractical for daily life and work.  Potentially powerful props in situations where fantasies are explored and power must be expressed as a visual symbol.

missfrillypants -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (4/7/2008 4:47:13 PM)

i saw some movie a loong time ago, so long i can't remember when or what it was, but i remember a girl's voice saying
"i feel absolutely NUDE without my lipstick!"

that's me. i will not leave the house without lipstick on, unless i'm severely ill or something. my favorite is the slightest berry tint, sort of like the color my lips turn naturally when i'm outside on cold days, but i also like the darker reddish colors, although true red clashes with red hair... also, unless i'm going to work, where my nails will chip anyway, i paint my nails regularly. other than that, i generally keep things pretty natural on me, but on other people...

i like the natural look of a person, and there's nothing wrong with it, but i also love people who look like they're the only one of themselves... people with green hair or black lips or glittered eyelashes or anything... i'm a jrock fan, what can i say? that said, it has to look like it's THE PERSON who is the one who is strange or glamourous or wild or whatever they're going for... no matter how dramatic, the girl or boy should wear the makeup, not the other way around. and i'm with the person who said that guys who still look masculine while wearing makeup are sexy...
i especially love little bits you just barely notice on guys like eyeliner or nailpolish, or punked out hair. *fans self*

OnlyMels -> RE: Kinky women and makeup (4/7/2008 5:37:50 PM)

I almost never wear make up mainly casue it seems to get broken by kids everytime I buy some I wear eye liner and lip gloss every now and then and Daddy likes that I don't wear it everyday.
