Sub light speed

Status: offline 		I had some thing that happened online today, that has happened in the real time before. 

That is when a submissive attempts to move at light speed by wanting to move in the same day you meet.  I would have just called this an online fluke, however I've had it happen to me twice in the real time before.  I've noticed each time it was with the slave oriented submissive type.

As for me, I'm always cautious about anybody quick to sign over their life within a day or hours after meeting.  I have this "I want to get to know you policy" and it tends to somehow preturb these types. 
  • I'm interested in hearing from Dom/mes if they have gone through this before?
  • I'm interested in hearing from "sub/slave types that like to move at Light Speed" as well, and reasoning why? 
  • Also what anybody else has for feedback on these type of light speed of creatures.

Status: offline 		hm well i must say i would be leery of that person. kinda amusing though as i have come across Dominants who wanted me to move in with them just after meeting them, again i chose to RUN. im not one to jump in blindfolded with both feet. i like to know them real well.

I'd say buyer beware, cuz that girl’s gonna cost someone LOTS of money!  Unfortunately some people think of 'submission' as even easier than getting married; and I think some women think of it as an easy way 'out'.  Sad.

This has happened to me, more than once (which makes me a serial idiot).  But at the time it was quite all right.  Honestly.

These women seemed stable enough, with jobs and everything, that were somehow misplaced later on.  Which made them functionally homeless without me.  Me and my big heart!  None of these 'affairs' lasted fewer than eight months, and most were multi-year deals.

There was some expense involved, and on the rare occasion the opportunity to pay some of it back, but it never hurt me at the time.  Caveat emptor.

I have a different set of guidelines for partner-selecting these days, and I am certainly more interested in long-term stability as a couple.  But it is possible to get blind-sided, happily.

Status: offline 		I've got no problem with meeting after a relatively short time.  Of course, it's not a play date.  The usual protocol is that I have a Burger King about a mile from the house.  If someone wants to meet me, I just say "I'll be at the [location] at noon on Tuesday.  Just drop by."  If no one shows in a quarter hour, I enjoy a burger and head home.  If they do, I enjoy a burger and some light conversation. 

Of course, most of the people I meet I meet at events and meetings so the online stuff is definitely secondary.

Status: offline 		I think this happens with great frequency from both sides.  At one time, there was a dominant who contacted me.  After we had exchanged 2 emails (two!) he demanded that I commit to pursuing a relationship with him.  He ‘didn’t like wasting time.’

Status: offline 		I also agree that I'm fine with meeting/sleeping on the same day- the issue is does this FEEL rushed, or it is just good timing?

For those who PUSH for it, they are usually just out to get "someone" and not really focused on building "The RIGHT relationship with the RIGHT someone"

Status: offline 		These times being what they are... perhaps one might consider the concept of "honest" desperation... which I suspect U allude to here... for luck or brain-fart or other unforseen, sometimes good people find themselves caught in quicksand/brain fog... many if not most sink and are lost.

Am I close to what U interpret your experiences to have been?

Aside: Good people in Honest Desperation may make that Extra Effort from Gratitude.

I've had it happen once.  After getting over the shock, the first thoughts that came to my mind were exactly the ones expressed so eloquently by bearlee.  The next thoughts that came to my mind was just how scary that was.

I only work at Warp Factor 3....so I'd be of no help to you here bud.

Status: offline 		Uhhhhhhh... the OP's comment was regarding those who are   "wanting to move in the same day you meet"...not just meet or even fuck!  Dang...we're not talking just a burger or even 'intent'; we're talking MOVING IN!
 
I dunno... I don't think I'd even think twice; I'd just cut and run.  In fact...it takes a lot less than that for me to run, actually.  And dammit...I think it'd be great to find a partner. 
 
I still expect to support myself (but don't have the means to support others)

Status: offline 		this one can definately offer some insight she hopes... there has been in the past twice this one has had to move at "sub light speed"... having been with a Master that a) got a bit too abusive with her after being together for some time and b) didn't want her with him after finding sub number 2 to play with.

this one had an ultimatum tossed at her... 24 hours, get out... where does one go? best thing is if you can find another Dom or Master to allow you to catch your breath and heal a little, for they would at least understand what you are going through. Homeless shelter wasn't an option at that point, as there was no abuse that this one hadn't signed up for. she's not the type to retaliate that way. a Master friend of hers took her in, she agreed to obey and serve while she was there... was that wrong? not in this one's eyes... was it wise, maybe not.

the only time this one has really wished to REALLY serve a Master she's just met is when that Master after talking to him on the phone and here in messages online, has filled her up with such a fulfilling peace... that happens so rarely with this one she wants to get near him somehow, someway, even if it doesn't result in her being owned by him, she still wants to know him.

Maybe she's been in this lifestyle too long to go on those kinds of instincts? her school of thought is when it feels right, it probably is, and maybe one shouldn't be second guessing it or sweating over petty stuff...

Would she give up everything to move to a Master? probably not now... not after this last one.
