Spiders are generally harmless and really don't need killing. I got mildly annoyed at a field collecting buddy who thought it was funny to stick an exceptionally large Menemerus (giant wall crawling spider) down my shirt. It tickled, but there was certainly no danger of harm to anyone other than the spider, so all I did was glare at him and gently untuck my shirt to retrieve the thing. Nice specimen, but that's not the optimal way to handle them since they're delicate creatures. Said prankster woke up wearing a giant Colorado river toad on his face. I think it peed up his nose. Now that was funny.
