All of the suggested measures are grossly inadequate. First of all, you can NEVER be sure a spider is dead until you rend its little body into manageable bits. Second, if one like that got in your house then another one can get in... and you might be sleeping. It will eat your rodent as a crunchy appetizer and then consume you as the main course. There is only one solution that can solve this problem: Gather together your pets and set your house on fire. Run away... far, far away.

At least you killed it (hopefully) yourself. Daughter, age 27, who lives at home, won't go near a spider. We gave her this bug vacuum with a long tube on it, so she sucks the spiders in then brings them to me to dump oustside. Living in the country she captures about 4-5 a day for me.[:o]

Ok i'm so not girlie but .......................... I get my heels stuck in the mud in the country. I get attacked by flying biting things. I get chased by arachnids from hell that want to kill me. My nails would get broken. My pretty clothes would get dirty Id have to breathe fresh air.
