Most here aren't going to be purseueded by logic, I have proven that over and over.  So those of us who have an actual grasp of history, politics, and military endevors like to laugh it up once in a while.  Sure it is at the expense of those who despite great knowledge have little wisdom and are the playthings of people like Rove and Cheney but they have it comming.  I mean how seriously should we worry about people who think invading Mexico is a great idea and Iran and even grander one. Actually, invading Mexico would have made a lot more sense than invading Iraq but we no longer have the military ability to invade Mexico thanks to the idiots about whom this thread is devoted.

So, nope, I don't much worry about converting those poor souls too dumb to still be buying into fox news and Tony Snow...

I don't agree with you at all Michael.
 
You have said some excellent things on this board. For example, when you articulated that this war in Iraq removed a secular government that was undoubtedly hated by Al Qaeda, that was the first time I had heard it put that way. It was an important point, to be sure.
 
I tend to see through bluster, to the thoughts within. I would imagine that truth be told, I see a lot more than the garden variety egomaniac gives credit for. The reason some of you don't get your point across, has less to do with the education of others, and more to do with middle school level communication skills.

Reasonably soon, you will probably get yourself moderated, or you will get a warning, and leave for several months. I for one, will miss you ... but obviously, at that point, you will have eliminated any chance of getting any points across to anyone, at least on this board.
 
You can then retreat into a wall of everyone just being too stupid to understand you. I too understand finding comfort zones.

Some is plural and thus you need to pluralize point so that they are in agreement.  There is no comma needed after across nor after others as they are not setting off a dependent clause.  You state that failing to get points across has something to do with middle school level communication skills but you fail to clarify if those middle school skills are possessed by the writers (some) or the readers.

What you might want to do is look up what the immigration quotas are for different countries to migrate to the U.S,  This might give you some idea of why mexicans cross the boarder illegally in such large numbers.

Why would a Canadian want to sojourn in the USA illegally? It just doesn't make sense. If you believe international stats and satisfaction polls, Canadians have one of the highest qualities of life in the world.

Poor people want to enter developed countries illegally, people from developed countries don't need to and if they do, what do they care if they get caught anyway? They'll only be returned to somewhere with the same standard of living.

While I would agree that Michael can, upon occasion, be somewhat less than tactful in his responses.  I believe he was only trying to point out that those who are preforce constrained to be domiciled in structures of patent frangibility should on no account employ petrous formations as projectiles.  Droll?... possibly; childish?...hardly.

I made a few visits to Canada......laid back people....and they leave their front door, to their homes...UNLOCKED ! now try that here in the good old Republican  Imperial USofA.

Though I don't know any specific number but we do get our fair share of illegal immigrants. From what I have read and hear on the news, usually the vast majority are either from the Middle East or East Indian.

A quick check on Wikipedia shows that roughly 6% of illegal immigrants to the U.S. come from Europe and Canada.

That was pretty much my point....but it is always nice to see that you still have your knee jerk reaction to any post with my name on it.[;)] Perhaps one day you may even read them.  From time to time you and I agree on some points....I should think that we share a common position on the second ammendment.  That being that gun control means using both hands.
