I have to say, I definitely share some slants with nephandi; my view is that, if there be a Creator, we as mere squishies are not to know its - or their - nature. It follows a parallel with the Hebrew concept of chukim; some things, humans are simply not meant to know. As for my own concept of deity... I believe the closest I have ever been to any god has been the way I love my neko. The intensity of feeling there takes me higher than any concept of god, any service or religious text or mantra has to date. My spirituality falls somewhere between Zen and atheism/agnosticism. Beauty, peace and truth. These are what I seek. I agree with one of the concepts of Socialism (unsure if it's also a part of Communism) - to each according to his need. Feel free to speak to and believe in whatever god you need. If you don't need a god, good for you. If you do, good as well. Just be sure that it makes you a better person - for at the end, no-one else can command your conscience. You can square with it, or you can't. One of the two.
