I do want the income, but in the context of my poly household, a male wife could really work. He can always change and get his chores done after work.

A "male wife" to me is simply a service-oriented submissive or slave. One that wants to be useful and please Me. He takes care of the menial tasks instead of expecting me to. So I'm not thrilled with the term "male wife". I'd hate to promote the concept that a typical wife is someone who takes care of the house. It's 2007. Why can't the typical husband (or slave) take care of the house? He would be taking care of his home anyway if I didn't live with him. and I believe that both people should have a job. Even if his is part-time, home-based or charity work. Most households need two incomes and both should pursue something intellectually stimulating. But if the woman would like him to not work in order to do something else to please her or focus on her or something else more, then I can understand that. To each their own. Do whatever works for your Female-led relationship. By the way, I read a study that said that males doing housework seemed to relax them and helped them de-stress. hooray! Anyway my main reason for posting is that I wanted to share some useful links with you. - ClubFEM.com is an organization/support group only for dominant Women and submissive males. There's different chapters in several U.S. states that meet monthly and also in canada and switzerland. It's a good way to meet likeminded people and have fun. - MatchupMaids.com is my free site for masculine or feminine male maids to offer domestic services to busy Women. RealOne, Elise Sutton doesn't necessarily promote cuckholding and feminization. She encourages couples to settle into thier own natural order of things. Cuckholding and feminization are just some of the topics discussed. Just like any other relationship what works for some doesn't work for others. In our relationship he does the dishes after dinner and keeps the laundry done, but we will both work in the yard together to the lawn mowed. Just as in a "normal" relationship we try to discuss important decisions but he knows that I will more than likely have the final say in the matter.

I think you're stretching a little :) I was only making comments in regards to the only society that is relevant to my personal life - our western society. Ie. that men and woman do tend to generally orient certain ways within our society, that we see as masculine or feminine. I don't normally make conversation within the context of a broader abstract anthropological point of view, since people would probably think I was even geekier than I already am! [;)]

And my point was that it is our western society that produces the orientations, rather than any kind of natural designation or orientation. Personally, I'd like it if men could be comfortable (and not harrassed by their peers) for taking the roles that our society has designated as 'feminine' - and vice verce ... but because of the harrassment that people go through when they act upon their own personal orientations (if they go against the stereotypes), it's very difficult. Until we can change society - which I don't see happening in my lifetime - the masculine/feminine stereotypes will persist, regardless of what individuals prefer. This is one topic that I'm perfectly fine 'geeking out' on [:D] there are a few others, but eh - I've already shown that I'm a anthro-nerd lol don't need to prove any other nerdliness tonight

Gender stereotypes are implanted into our minds from the cradle forward. Church and State, media, Hollywood, our teachers, parents, friends and peers are all co-conspirators in promoting the expectations and stereotypes society has based on gender. If you find it difficult to find a man to be your wife, then there any number of TV or TS girls willing to take on the role. That is, judging by the content of all the TV/TS books and magazines we sell. Some are very good value too, better than the average 'housewife' though very many are absolutely useless for real work! That has been our experience in training and 'employing' maids at Muir academy and Tawsingham here in the UK If your current husband doesn't want to be your wife, why not take in such a girl? Though you may find you have to share your husband's sexual attentions with her, unless you take precautions.

i volunteer. Being a well rounded submissive, i have always wanted to be placed in a relationship where i was the male wife. i clean, do laundry, iron ( which i love), and all domestic chores. the problem is finding others with the same mind set. of course after reading through these posts, i see there are Women out there who seek the same. relocation could be a possibility for me as well. i do have a child in upstate Ny who i must visit once a month. i am in connecticut now, so travel is not out of the question. Greetings Mz Mia Ma'am & all others: I have seen couples both vanilla and D/s where the male has taken Her last name some in-part because they have no other surviving family and also one couple i knew the last name just had better over all rhythm and rime. It isn't much harder then her taking his last name. I can understand the situations of some of the Ladies here were they would not get married again or if they did not take his name but have him take Hers. and that is getting more and more acceptable from my understanding. I would love to make some Lady a great stay at home male Housewife, where She would not have to worry much about the house and its daily tasks that it carries inside and out even though I do not have a green thumb. This is a topic of long interest to me. I have often thought of becoming a male wife or submissive husband. My thought is I would try to be in the mold of the super-wife, one who holds a job and does the housework, cooking etc. I would vow to honor and obey at the wedding ceremony. I'm open to accepting her name as mine, as well. Much would depend on her wishes. I noticed some of the Women want their male wife to stand for the ceremony in a wedding gown. I would train for such a scene, if desired. Mostly, I'm commited in my heart to a female-led relationship. Still searching for my leading lady.
