A lot of sites have it listed as meaning cat like, which is a load of codswallop, thats generally said because faline - feline ... see the connection?
Anyway its gaelic irish and it means in charge.

my real name is linea, which is a variation on the Swedish name of Linnea  (my Norwegian family didn't know how to spell it)  it is the name of a flower in Smaland in Sweden, also known as the twinflower...this was the botanist, Linneaus' favorite flower, so when he was naming the various plants, he named that one for himself...

the link said that it was a Norse name meaning "lime tree"...i have found this in other data bases also...but it's not the traditional meaning, as far as i know.....
