Is it any wonder I turned out Dom with names like that?

I am also a Susan, although some days, I am not necessarily a graceful lily, rather a klutz!

Dianne - derived from Diana, Roman goddess of the hunt.  Diana was noted for beauty and swiftness; often depicted as a huntress. (Ironic that I am a vegetarian...) Greek goddess of the moon (Artemis).

Another source said "divine" - I like that!

My middle name confuses me    it is Darold

When my son was in the Navy and stationed at Millington TN he ordered a pizza to be delivered to the barracks.   The delivery boy had it as a last name.  Told my son it was a French surname.

I have done some browsing but can't find any reference to it anywhere.   Anyone have a clue?

It could be from French, i'm not sure.  It certainly sounds like it.  i found this through Behind the Name.com's link section, which says the name "Darold" is related to "Darald", a form of Darrell.  Hope that helps.
