crouchingtigress -> Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 12:37:34 PM)

this is a post to inform you that the excuse ..."i have been busy" or "i am too busy" no longer holds any weight, it is tired and played and you need to come up with something better....at least be creative when you lie...no one is too busy to text or email a small note saying why they are not keeping thier end up.....and.... if its not a lie and you really cant manage your time effectivly....um dont quit your day job, because being, you know, a Master, you sort of need that skill set dont cha think?

as i have said before:"i am too busy" is the ultimate one size fits all excuse, but what it really means is that "i have no interest in managing my time effectively enough to prioritize you". it is a tale told by and idiot, signifying nothing.

Suleiman -> RE: Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 12:39:25 PM)

But hunnybunny, I HAVE been busy...

(PS - sorry, I just have to know - are you partnered up with HiddenDragQueen?)

slaveofdarkhold -> RE: Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 12:39:41 PM)

Uhhh.... what?
Somebody pissed you off today I take it?

MsLadySue -> RE: Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 12:46:24 PM)

I agree with you 100% crouchingtigress. It also applies to the other side of the equation. If a boy expects to be taken seriously as a potential sub or slave to a Dominant then he'd best learn to prioritize his time and be available.

mstrjx -> RE: Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 12:58:37 PM)

As a single person, we all find ourselves with spare time.  We fill up that time.  Depending on how we fill up that time and the priorities that we choose to make, it is 'possible' to paint ourselves into a corner and determine (whether rightly or not) that building/developing a relationship is too time-consuming.

Let's face it, relationships CAN be time-consuming.  But they also can be rewarding and fulfilling beyond belief if they work out.

I, taking leisure time (which I call Jefftime) to the extreme as far as importance in my life, have no end of things I can/want to do.  I'm never bored, nor could I be.  But I try to think that I'm clever enough to realize that should the sky actually come crashing down and the partner of my dreams lie at my feet (only slightly bruised from the fall), that my 'alone' activities were actually a placeholder for the time required to develop a relationship.

We ought to be prepared, don't you think?

Jeff

Devilslilsister -> RE: Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 1:11:32 PM)

Dingleberries!!  George Carlin says nobody uses that word anymore......... kind of like Corn hole.  Whens the last time you heard some one say corn hole?

i agree, i agree, Crouching and personally i dont hold for it.  To me its not about a double standard, erm, but its being hypocritical.  i'm of the mind that if "your" too busy, then i am also too busy.  If i am not a priority in your life......... dont expect the same in return.  i've places to go, people to do and who wants to waste their time?

Dear passionate one,

I fear the time I have invested in harnessing the atom has kept me from you. Mind you, you are always present in my thoughts, the drive to find a cleaner, safer fuel source and method of mass destruction is so prevalent that I am remiss on responsibilities to your emotional needs. Our time together has affected me more than you would think and has actually spawned some radical thoughts and ideas, which I may actually put to pen. This morning really got me thinking; I grabbed a hot skillet and although I only held on to it for a second it really felt like an hour. Then it occurred to me that when I hold on to you for an hour it only feels like a second.  I will muse further on the relativity of this.

Love always
Albert

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 1:29:54 PM)

to whom it may concern

please excuse this pitiful poor submissive for not having any time to service your needs since her daily schedule of writing reviews and interviews of bands has taken up all her free time as of lately. she promises sincerely to try to properly manage her time to fit more with your schedule as you deem fit.

this pathetic submissive humbly apologizes on her knees.

damn i'm good!

SunNMoon -> RE: Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 1:40:08 PM)

But but I've been busy...[:(] I'm sorry.

I think it only works sometimes and normally a reason why would be nice. Now I most go off to be busy... hehe

Stranger1 -> RE: Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 1:46:00 PM)

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone had the time to be polite?

RoadRage999 -> RE: Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 2:19:25 PM)

I would like to have the time to make a proper reply here, but....I'm just way too busy.

TigerNINTails -> RE: Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 2:36:55 PM)

Ya know, it's kinda funny, I find myself busy, but doing nothing in particular... Ever have that happen? Well, in the kind of "work" that I do, which isn't as lofty as Troll and seeking an alternative fuel source, it sucks up a lot of time, as there's much reading involved. However, that's neither here nor there.

While I don't have time for full blown scenes online (all that flipping typing drives me mad anymore), I do have plenty of time to get into my girl for at least a few hours each night... Even if it's in the middle of doing my work.

Like now, I'm taking time out of my busy moments to reply here... Which is a waste of good productivity time, but then again, what the hell, if I don't respond here I don't build those community relationships...

tigress, you've got it nailed, really, and the point to all that rambling is that if someone is going to say that they'll do something, be something, be somewhere, meet someone, do someone, see about whatever...

Well, they best damn well do it. The "i'm busy" excuse, no... It doesn't fly. Given a reason, perhaps, but it does only take, however long... what, 3 minutes? That it took me to post this, for someone to pull their head out of whatever place it is, and then fire off an e-mail.

So I agree... And that's something that's irritating to no end, no doubt about it. I hate flakes.
*looks at his shoulders and brushes a few off... <G>* J/K...

Peace.

SimplyMichael -> RE: Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 3:17:38 PM)

Tigress,

You have no idea how much I not only agree with you but sympathize.  While finding that balances isn't always easy, it can and will be done if you want the relationship to grow and remain viable.

That was funny....."CrouchingTigress/HiddenDragQueen"...or at least I thought it was![:D]    ("Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon"....little play on words!)

LadyPact -> RE: Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 3:38:10 PM)

Isn't timing wonderful?  This exact issue (boy not calling) was on My mind today and had Me thinking the exact same thing.  Had Me a little off for a bit, so I really appreciated the opportunity to laugh at the situation that was getting on My nerves.

I agree with the above.  No matter what role, have the decentcy to call, email, connect with the person Y/your supposedly prioritizing in Y/your life.  If there's no time for a call, why would A/anyone think you were serious about time in person?

Troll, thank you ever so much for the laugh.  The comment was hiliarious!

Just a side note, is it just Me, or does this complaint seem to be directed more at one gender than the other (hint, hint).

Edited for a spelling error, As I was laughing too hard.

Satyr6406 -> RE: Attention players and dingleberries (4/15/2007 3:46:13 PM)

I have always held the belief that it is the submissive that needs to organize their time. That a dominant's time is what is of more value.

Each of us, be we dominant or submissive, has one truly valuable "possession" (in my mind) and that is our time. Therefore, if a dominant has not been able to "prioritize" a submissive, that is because that submissive is NOT a priority. That's pretty much "logical" to me.

I thought, in this lifestyle, that the dominant's wants and desires took precedence over those of the submissive (Please to notice, before you jump on me, that I did NOT say "needs")? I don't know. That's always what I thought this lifestyle was supposed to be about.

Peace and comfort,

Michael
