For the Record...I am very opposed to banning censoring 'books/ideas' for any but the most extreme reasons, ie exploitive child porn, ect.  I do not think Boycotting and Banning are even remotley related.  I am very in favor of boycotting, and selective spending of ones capital.  I can not imagine an American liberal/leftist being morally opposed to the act of boycotting.

I have no trouble boycotting art. I do have trouble with an owner of an outlet that has bought up significant media filtering what we see and hear based upon their political ideology.

Yes, the banning thing gets weird.

An owner of a popular fish fry business near here publically stated that when then President Clinton and the First Lady came to town as scheduled, if they came to his establishment, he would refuse to serve them.

What kind of bullshit is that?

I think Bush is among the greatest threats to freedom and peace in the world today, and he's certainly not popular in my state, but if he wanted to come visit my class, we would welcome him and listen.

Tim
