We all have things that are lives simple pleasures, things that are nothing to do with sex  or money .. just simple, honest pleasures

so what are yours? and just for interest .. those simple pleasures that are just you .. no one else helping or involved

will kick this off .... my simple pleasures are

time to drink the entire pot of tea in peace .. with no one interrupting me

having a bath, putting on clean sheets and jammies .. and going to bed early .. and alone

All of my simple pleasures involve sex and money. Alright I'll play nice.  My simple pleasure is to leave town go into the woods miles away from anyone, sit against a tree with my eyes shut and just listen...for as long as it takes to clear my mind.

One of mine will be coming soon - I love to go for walks in the spring and see all the baby ducklings, we have quite a few mallards and tons of Canada geese in my neighborhood and they just give me joy.

That would be fine.  But it's a long way to travel just to sit next to a tree :-)

Mine are strolling on a scenic golf course and hitting the almost perfect shot;  relaxing in the hot tub; and viewing wildlife (we live in area with bald eagles, bear, elk, coyotes and of course lots of deer).[:)]

You know as well as I do that the spoons are just as painful...maybe we should stick to plastic.  But the picnic does sound nice.

Sitting all alone on a beach at night, watching the waves in the moonlight.
A pedicure.
Riding on the back of his Harley with my ipod blasting.
Having a quiet early morning cup of coffee with my dad when he comes to visit.
Finding a book that is so good that you can't put it down until you've read the last page.
Grilling.
Shooting pool.
Going out to lunch with my two favorite wee ones at our favorite pub in our favorite town.

Riding my motorcycle on the beauty of our roads and no one else on them on a sunny peaceful day..........................

driving on a tree lined back road, where the trees have made a canopy through the years, on a sunny day, where only very small bits of sunlight can peek through the tree canopy

driving along during spring next to an orange grove (while in bloom) with the windows down and the radio blasting at night

sitting on a log, in front of a fire, outdoors during fall, staring at the fire in a hypnotic trance

There are a lot of them, but right now it's an evening rainstorm when no one is home and I get to sit on my back porch (it's covered, but open) with the white christmas lights on with a cup of tea, a glass of wine and a good book.  And more importantly, knowing I have all the time in the world to enjoy it.

Mother's Day is right around the corner, right?  I can dream.

Great, so it's gonna be me, softness, nakedonmychain, and jersey sitting in silence in the woods.  Anyone else?  We can't have too many cause it could endanger the silence and then it would all be for not.

- Those crazy chats I have with my soon to be teenage son, he makes me laugh like no one else can and he makes me proud in a way I never thought possible
- Good coffee, I mean seriously good coffee, always black
- Friends sat round a table chatting and laughing and eating and just being together
- An unexpected surprise - for instance, when you watch a film that makes your heart sing or you read a book that touches you
