A putt in the sunshine, my neighborhood cardinal who arrives daily at 11:30 for his lunch, Earl Grey tea made from real tea leaves on the porch, the fat black and yellow bumbly bees who visit with me while i'm gardening.

Believe it or not, i can remember sitting IN the tree, listening to the breeze blowing thru the leaves, watching birds land on the branch right next to me....even had a favorite tree! Others are sitting on the beach, listening to the waves, laying in the grass star gazing.....watching a thunderstorm roll in over the lake.......walking in the rain..... The feel of my cat on my chest just purring away......or all three of them laying against my body. Seeing a completely pristine field of freshly fallen snow...then running thru it!

a 100 mile putt putt on my bike a good chat with a friend a good cup of tea a good cup of coffee with some Torte an hour in the Hot Tub some great sex a manicure and a pedicure going shopping for new cloth and toys well I think I listed enough for one day

mmm... you may find it a little silly but awakening ten minutes early than needed and staying in bed that ten minutes simply relaxing without doing anything. I treasure that ten minutes every day and they feel wonderful. knowing that I can stay in bed another ten minutes is such pleasure I can't describe it. [:D]

excellent thread. good bread, toasted and buttered. BUTTer, not oleo dammit. a smile from any number good friends. a smile from a friend I've never met. walking where I can't see power lines or cars. song. walking barefoot on grass. bonus points at 4:21, am or pm. The smell of leather. eating warm watermelon fresh from the vine naked in the shade when its 105 degrees with a thunderstorm brewing. hotsprings. seeing the first snow of the year, altho the last snow of the year is pretty nice too! Seeing the first snow of the year while in a hotspring does not qualify as simple... Porn. Sunrises (simple for me, large window just east of my bed) cat naps, and seeing my cat while he is napping. good beer, and related, peeing outside with a tailwind. ok, maybe good beer isn't so simple, but I think you get the point.

Being home alone with no tv or stereo on, the windows open, early morning weekend, and this time of year. Taking my dogs for a walk thru the fields at night when it's snowing those great big fat flakes really hard....it's so quiet and peaceful. Hanging out with my horses in the barn at night in the winter. Watching the baby calves play. Working hard outdoors, grilling dinner, a leisurely bath or shower, fresh clean sheets, bedroom window open with a cool breeze blowing in and the crickets and frogs singing. (last night) Playing with the grands. Being in the woods really quiet and still in the fall. Downloading my camera and finding out that some of the photos were way better than I expected. Friday nights. Snuggling with my big furry babies for a nap on the weekend when its nasty outside. Having someone tell me they love me and knowing they really mean it even half as much as I do when I tell them. Campfires. Bluegrass music played by the campfire by old men, drunk on shine, late at night. Being able to turn off my phone. The pedmall in Iowa City on a summer evening.

My comfy pink fleece robe tossing the baseball around in the yard with my son being a soccer mom those yummy red, white, and blue astropops sitting on the front porch watching the teenagers and kids doing whatever naps!

first cup of coffee on a cool summer morning on my deck hugs that mean something whispers in the dark finding 20.00 in the pocket of your winter coat just when you need 20.00 riding in the truck with the sunroof open getting a tan while you take a day trip that look from across the room from someone you just knows loves you but cant bring himself to say it cuz he's afraid of how he feels.. having a heart to heart with your teenage daughter and realize she is not only more mature than you thought...realizing that she is already a terrific woman.

Sitting outside in the sunshine with a light cool breeze enjoying the beauty of nature and the peace. Getting lost in a great book or 2 or 3. Listening to my favorite songs uninterrupted, getting lost in the music. A great talk with a friend. A day just for me and doing whatever I want whenever I want. Watching the UMs playing and laughing. Tickle torture of them Hearing them laugh.

i love threads like this, so that would be one of my simple pleasures. Sitting outside on a starry night with the One I love. Sunday mornings... Watching kids play at the park. Flying a kite. Looking through old photographs.

Visiting a lake, watching the birds swim, feeling the cool breeze come off the water. Then going to a nice restaurant afterward, right off the water. Having a nice juicy steak. A nice spring drive through the trees. Talking to someone interesting you just met while you are exploring some place new.
