*This has probably been posted at least a million times before, and it kinda generalizes, but I just want to rant.*

Ok the majority of mail I get are from submissive males. At least half of that is ethier one word/one sentence long, or otherwise showing that they have not paid any/or little attention to what my profile actually says. Now I do usually just ignore it, and move on, or if I do get pissed off enough I block them,(very rarely.) But last few days it has just been buuging the hell outta me.  I know I shouldn't let it get to me, after all it is such a stupid thing to get upset over........Now the (few) mails I get from females is almost always respectful, showing that they have actually read my profile.  I have noticed this tendency on other sites, vanilla ones included, ( had 3 of such emails on myspace yesterday...gggrrrrr.) In talking with female submissives they have said pretty much the same thing, one girl told me, that a sub male keeps trying to convince her to Dom him! okok enough ranting for now. Any thoughts, stories, comments, etc. are welcome
Male Doms/submissives, have you had emails from women who obviously hadn't read your profile?

When i introduce myself, i always send a full paragraph about myself. What i am looking for, my limits...etc. But i do get quite a few Emails from Dommes that simply say; "Send me Tribute", "Look at my profile & write me back" or "Hi". i haven't blocked Anyone yet, but i do not respond to these Emails at all. HELLO! If you can't take the time to tell me a little bit about yourself & your needs, what makes me think you are going to take the time getting to know me?

Dispite having a fairly complete profile I have yet to recieve a e-mail...lol. Having said that I would note the huge disparity that exists in the male to female ratio on any personal's site, this one included. Many men use the shotgun approuch and send out as many e-mails as they can hoping that one of of a hundred will get a reply. When I do occasionly msg someone here my msg is generally a couple of paragraghs but then I am not desperate like many of the guys here seem to be...

I think that vanilla or kink, females on internet personals sites will get loads of emails from those that haven't read their profiles - and doubly so if she's got a cute picture posted.

I have received a few emails from female submissives that went on and on and went absolutely nowhere, some of them were quite long too but it was obvious that they did not read my profile. Personally I take it in my stride and giggle about it, although by the sounds of it you get dozens upon dozens per day... the novelty hasn't worn off for me yet...

I'm grateful that some people have short profiles without much information, they self-select themselves out of the potentials pool.

we all have this happen.  not much you can do about it except repeat what your profile says and what you want people to know about you.

... all the time.  Every day.  I even have gotten mail from people, written back, and then gotten mail that shows they even read my email...

It's a puzzler.  Why do people do that, when it makes them look stoo-pid?

Still, sometimes we miss something, even right in front of our faces.  I've had some recent communication experience that shows me I can do better at it myself, so maybe cutting slack isn't a bad thing.

Although, let's face it, the profile was written for a reason, and not bothering to read it often tells me all I need to know..

Why be bothered by what dumb people send via pm's?  It seems like a waste of time and energy to me, plus you are giving control to strangers.

i agree.  If you can't even bother taking the few minutes to read my profile, why should i even bother?  i love the ones that proposition me on the opening email, they make me laugh because it so absolutely pathetic.

i just reply and say i'm owned.  Seems like a simple enough answer

Maybe they enjoy him dealing with these pests. He normally doesn't read my mail but I was getting weird emails daily from somebody once and hadn't responded, he happened to be in the room when that day's strange email arrived. I read it to him and told him I had deleted half a dozen already. He just told me to move out of the computer chair and fired off a letter to the weirdo telling him to stop.

I liked him doing that. It made me feel protected and fragile, girlie type stuff. He enjoyed my reaction to him doing this. We went and had hot monkey sex. The whole thing was positive and if he wanted to do it more often then I'd be asking the rest of you for HNG mail so he would have an excuse. :)

Yes I can deal with stuff myself but sometimes it's more fun if I don't.

Sure, though they are easily decernable from those that have, and dealt with appropriately. Depends on the content. For me it is not a big issue.

I've been guilty of this.  If I read something on a post that I would like to comment on to that person, I will email them.  It doesn't require Me reading their profile to do so.  It might just be a particular thing that I found interesting or funny, or anything other than the "I'm interested in you" kind of thing.

If I find the person interesting, I will read the profile.

All mail from blokes goes straight to my bulk mail folder but sometimes I have a lil look in

Was very amused this week to read one from a male 'dom' who said he had read my profile, respected the fact I knew who I was and what I wanted but still wanted to come on my face - so even if they do read it don't expect them to take any notice *shrugging shoulders* most of my mail goes straight in the bin as it is

I'm good with one-liners.

If they're sassy or fun.

In fact, a sassy or fun one liner is better than a bio.

Just because we're online doesn't mean we can't flirt a little bit.

Well, allow me to say, having only most recently reviewed your photo....that you're the only woman I ever truly loved.

And I say that with all sincerity
