A lot of northern US'ers are moving to North Carolina because the cost of living is so good.  The hurricanes only affect the shore towns...it's a huge state, you can move inland!  The winters are mild and you can stay inside to get out of the sun.  I think it's a match!

Well, since there seems to be a demand for me from various parts of the US, and several of my compatriots I note have expressed a sincere desire for me to go west, I think the only way to settle this is to go with the highest bid for my esteemed presence LOL!

Bids start at a 3 bed home with car....

I have a better idea Lady E - try Canada instead.  We more polite, have a better tax system, universal health care, not to mention that we aren't the 51st state as some Americans believe.

Why do Canadians who can afford to, come to the US for Surgery and other Major Ills?

We'd love to have to over here but there's always something happening somewhere I think, whether it be heat, cold, blizzards, tornadoes, hurricanes, mudslides, earthquakes, fires or tsunamis.

I don't think that there is a "perfect" place, although to each their own.  Personally, I love Florida (hurricanes, alligators, insects and all ).

I have to go with SF as well. Although I don't know how far the 3bedroom/car dowry would get you...LOL might have to throw in some cash on that one.

There is also Trinadad, CO which at one time was the epicenter for gender reassignment surgeries.  I believe it is still very popular as far as that is concerned with many transgender people living there quite openly. A friend of mine lived there and I used to go visit her occasionally. Lovely place but does get a bit of snow.

My son would like that - he's convinced he wants to visit South Park!

Not too sure about hanging round with all them trans people though. Bit weird, so I heard....

As for South Park...They killed Kenny..those Bastards!

Regarding the transgendered...aren't we all a little weird in our own ways? LOL

Besides you would become a human icicle there. Perhaps SF is the way to go after all...if you enjoy fog. Hey they haven't had a major earthquake in ohhhh 5 or 6 years. You'll be fine. Just run if the glasses in the cupboard start falling over. After a decade here the little rumbles won't even phase you.
