I have had to deal with this in the past, and had to deal with it again today. 

I got a message from someone asking if there were a chance that he could get to know me and possibly serve me.  I noticed that he didn't read my profile because I have a test there as many do and he didn't pass.  I told him the reason I require people to read my full profile is because there are things contained in my profile that someone needs to read in order to know about me.  I also told him not to take my e-mail as rejection as he probably will...but view it as a learning tree so that the next time he writes me or someone else he arms himself with information about them so he doesn't make mistakes that could be avoided.

My questions to those that say "so what if they don't read your profile" is How many idiotic e-mails do you get where people blatently and continually requests things that you have specifically said are not your thing?  How many of these do you go through before you have had your fill?

I am not talking about the men replying to my ad.  That isn't even what I am referring to.  And, I have reasons as to why I choose to put bisexual over lesbian - ones that I do not care to discuss here; if you'd like to know email me privately.

As far as the person who said it doesn't hurt to ask: I would not mind if someone said, "We read your profile and we know that you state you are not seeking X, Y, Z, but our situation is blah blah"  No, these are people who have obviously not bothered to read a word past the first line.

And, it is not the thirty seconds it takes to open an email and reply with a "No thanks" that bothers me.  I just find it so rude and boorish that someone would be seeking a relationship with me but doesn't care to take the 3 minutes to read what I have to say about myself and what I am looking for.

The answer is simple.  Reading takes up brain cells that could be used for more important functions, such as remembering to breathe. [:)]

Yes, it has been covered before, plenty of times.

Ever try using your Mail Controls function?  It's real simple, if you don't want to have emails from men clogging up your Received Mail folder, just check the box for Male and all the emails from men will go to your Bulk Folder, same with Couples, Other Countries, Out of State, etc.

Route messages from the following types of users to your Bulk Mail folder:






No Profile




Out of State




Other Countries






Male
All Dominant Submissive 






Female







Couples






Older than

I couldnt agree with you more. I guess I shouldnt be shocked when considering how many fakes and losers there are on this and similar sites. But I have been amazed by the sheer audacity of some who message my alpha slave katie and clearly have not bothered to read her profile.
Consider if you will the very first paragraph of her profile:

" A bit about me...
I am first and foremost my Master's slave...He owns me from the top of my head to the tip of my toes. My Master is MasterBRD."

Maybe I am missing something that these idiots are seeing... Would someone tell me what they may see in those first words that would give them any indication that she may be un-collared, un-commited, or un-owned?"[sm=confused.gif]

they are either lazy or faild reading class in school. my profile and site both say i will not meet in person or do session but tons keep asking for that.

 I have not read all of the thread, but the answer is in three parts, People are lazy, people think that they can get you to change your mind, people think that the "rules" don't apply to them (they are SPECIAL!!). No matter what the reason, all of this class are rejects. Anybody who does not act like they have heard what you have written are not worthy of even five seconds of your time. Delete and move on.

Oh, I completely agree.

I find it extremely frustrating to be approached by someone and then asked a myriad of simple questions which shows they have not read even the very basics on my profile.

I guess you're right, if it's in pink, it's a go ahead for some people.

How is the OP lazy...this one escapes me.

People keep harping on mail controls.  However, the mail controls are so broad they encompass an all or nothing attitude with them.  You either block all men or you don't block any at all, you either block all other countries or you don't block any at all.  Perhaps some sub directories within the main directories would help aleviate some of these problems.

I don't think it is too much to ask for someone to read your whole profile before they contact you.  You can bet your bippy if you said something incorrect about them that might be contained in their profile they are going to jump on it.
