Sooner or later we all die. No biggy ziggy.

Fortunately, this is one that I sure will not miss having around.

... wait... correct me if I misunderstand, but isn't Christianity a whole, big religion founded by people getting their jollies off someone's death?

No, it isn't.

That was simple enough.......

Technically, no. Unfortunately there's a lot of nitwits that believe there's more importance about Mr. Jesus's death than there was about his life, and even more unfortunately they tend to be a noisy bunch that broadcasts all manner of weird things, drowning out the sane people who know better, and giving a false impression to those of us who are not members of that entire branch of religions.

Yes. Please do not lump us all in the catagory with Mr. Falwell was in. I personally could not stand the man.

I have absolutely no problem dancing on the graves of my enemies.  It's nice and PC to say that you should love all people even if you gently disagree with their behavior, but fuck that noise.  You will definitely make yourself my enemy by trying to take away my children, my livelihood, my right to live and love as nature made me, and my right to be anything but a slavish follower of your narrow minded religion of hate and exclusion.

There's no room for tolerance or forgiveness when you're facing an enemy who is trying to do these things to you and to everyone you love.  Not if you live in the real world rather than a PC fantasy.

Mr.Jesus?  roflmao...

Okay, okay, okay....that was actually brilliant, Dauric!  Thank you.  I have always prefered the people who followed the teachings of the man, than the Christians who followed the religion named for him...

My sincere condolences to his family.

See how easy that is folks? Decorum is for your own sake, not necessarily the other guys. I’m no fan of the guy but kicking somebody when their down (and you can’t get much more down than dead)... I mean really, how rude!

If you’re going to get your jollies over someone’s death, why not go all the way and join the Westboro Baptist Church?

Mark2b:
Did you send the same condolances to hitlers family or to sodamned insanes family on the occasion of the deaths of those two individuals?

it is not about being PC.  It is about having regard for another human regardless if they have valued yours or not.  It is more about the value of life and i guess some kind of caring or morality.

Yet in reality the only thing that sets Jesus apart from all other religious icons is his death and resurrection....Otherwise he would have been just another "good" dead guy.

I think there's a difference between "Mr. Jesus" as a person who was alive, said and did some stuff, and died tragicaly; and "Jesus Christ" the myth.

Sometime around 1999-2000-2001, there was whis whole scholarly dissection of the bible kick, couldn't change channels, or walk down a newspaper stand without something coming out about Christianity. One of the interesting things that I found at that time was an evaluation, by secular and clerical scolars, of all the passages that were attributed to Jesus Christ, and that only about a third of them could actualy be linked to Mr. Jesus (with an average of 90% certanty), and another third were 50/50 maybe he said it, maybe he didn't.

That was when I started saying "Mr. Jesus"

But, that's just me.

And...me is doin okay.  They put me on oxygen at night...wild, huh?  I'm thinkin about sellin hits during the day!

I hope things are proving well with you too, Level.

LOL at "sellin hits"...... what's the oxygen for, sleep apnea or something similar?

And when I said it's not possible to separate the two, all I meant is that a lot of the people who follow the spirit of what Jesus said and did also are a part of the religion, for them it's part of the same package. But yeah, there's plenty of people who mouth the words of Christianity, without living or caring about the heart of it, the kindness, compassion, hope and love of what Jesus was.

Anyway, I get what you're saying, pretty lady.

Thank you Level... I told ya you were better at that than I am!  You said what I meant...   LOL

Yeah... sleep apnea.  Had blood oxygen level of 73% and only 80% on the damn machine.  Apparently I just don't breath much!!!   So...they added oxygen to the mix.  Weird, if ya ask me...

Hi Level!!

I am sure the religious fanatics will have a new poster boy to replace Falwell in no time...  so  though the body is gone, the words will live on in another who is equally asinine, plus we have a bonus martyr. I think Falwell wasn't a good person, and one less of those in the world is a good thing as far as I am concerned.

By the way.... how is Bill O'Reilly's health these days ?

Hi Lorelei .

Yes, fanatics usually don't give up, I think it's in their union rules or something. (Not a swipe at unionists, I was in a Local for years ).

Mr Bill is fine, I suppose, the last time I saw him was on youTube, yelling at Geraldo. The more I watched that, the more I wondered if they didn't set the whole thing up......

Calling people "freaks" was mature?

What would you call Liberal bible thumpers like Jimmah Cattah, Al & Tipper Gore, Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, and so on - when so many Liberals openly hate anyone with religious views? If they're not freaks among their own then what are they. They certainly don't fit in... so yes, I'd say that not only was it mature, but it was accurate, too.
