ORIGINAL: BitaTruble ~FR~ Ok, first, I don't believe it's logical for Harry to be a horcrux. Keep in mind that each horcrux contained 1/7 of Voldemorts soul, and each horcrux had to be prepared to accept that portion of soul. V's purpose in going to the Potters that night was to kill Harry, not make a horcrux out of him. Each horcrux has to be destroyed to finally get rid of V. Also, remember the prophesy. Neither can live while the other survives. For Harry to be a horcrux and 'live' defeats the purpose of V trying to live forever since he would want, above all, the horcrux's protected, not destroyed and he did try to kill Harry in Goblet of Fire. That doesn't make sense if Harry is a horcrux. EXACTLY! Thank you! quote:
I think Aunt Petunia is probably a witch who refused to accept/exert her powers. I do think she'll play a larger part in the final book especially since 'home' with the Dursley's is what's kept Harry alive all these years and might even come up with a spell or two at a critical juncture. Harry has his mothers eyes.. and I'm wondering if Auntie Petunia doesn't have those same eyes as well.. and if so, where did those two ladies get those eyes? hmmmmmm.. in OOTP, it was made pretty clear that most wizarding families were connected in some way or another so that's something that's made me think, but I don't have any theory on it. I'll just say that it wouldn't surprise me if Harry were related to a prominant family.. or two. In OotP, it was said "For the first time, Harry could truly appreciate that Aunt Petunia was his mother's sister. Aunt Petunia's eyes, so large and pale unlike his mother's...." So no, I'm betting that they don't have the same eyes. Which leads to the question: What is so special about Lily's eyes? In every book, someone mentions to Harry "You have your mother's eyes" at least once. I think Harry is a direct desendent of Gryffindor on James' side and a direct desendent of Slytherin on Lily's side. Those "brilliant green" eyes would fit right in inside Slytherin. However, Snape did call Lily a 'Mudblood' in the Pensive. I don't think all Slytherins are pure-blood-there aren't that many left. Like Aurthur said "If we hadn't married Muggles we'd have died out." I think a lot of them are just faking it.....look at "Mr. Pure-bloods only" himself-Lord Voldemort. And he is a half-blood. quote:
Albus is dead. I cried, but he's dead. ::sniff:: Standard hero/mentor fare that one. I was sad when Dumbedore died, but I'm all for the ghost theory. I wonder if we tossed him behind that archway, if Harry would hear him again. Like Luna said "They're not dead-just out of sight." quote:
RAB - unless they are introducing a new character with those initials, I think it has got to be Sirius' brother. I'm not as convinced that Sirius is dead given that Harry heard voices behind the curtain which Sirius fell through. Maybe in another dimension or something, so we may see him resurface. (I can always hope!) I'm pretty convinced we'll be taken back to the Ministry of Magic in Book 7. Could be part of Scrimigor's name too.... quote:
Snape might die protecting Draco and I do think one of the DA is going to die. I'm hoping it's not Ron or Hermione, possibly Neville jumping in the line of fire when Harry is about to get it (that Neville kid has some courage that's been a bit underplayed) but one of Harry's friends is sure to die. *snipped* There's a reason while Neville was put in Gryffindor..... OMG! I have this wild theory about Lily, Dumbledore, James, and Lupin! It's crazy but it makes sense! Message me on Yahoo at demonofthenight18 and let's chat HP!
