The CONSPIRACY which Bush is provably party to is the CONSPIRACY TO DEFRAUD THE UNITED STATES.

Specifically, the presentation of information to Congress and the general public through deceit, craft, trickery, dishonest means, and fraudulent representations, including lies, half-truths, material omissions, and statements made with reckless indifference to their truth or falsity, while knowing and intending that such fraudulent representations would influence Congress' decisions regarding authorization to use military force and funding for military action, constitutes interfering with, obstructing, impairing, and defeating a lawful government function of a department of the United States within the meaning of Section 371.

So, if Bush will participate knowingly in ONE Conspiracy, why not Two?

well how self serving; I get tired enough of hearing this from the Euro- limpdicks. It is positively ghastly to hear it from the once proud Democratic party, and even more disturbing from the once Republican Republican party. As to all the conspiracy theorists: look up Occam's razor on wikipaedia, if you have the wits.

but im not sure what ur last post was meant to say or prove?

u say you have proof of one conspiracy, but you didnt give proof. just a list of what you claimed he did. elaborate please

I can be a douche bag as well. Apology on my part given...as well as yours accepted.

Anywhooo...But herein lies the problem...Fanatical Islamic terrorists conducted the damage of 9/11....I agree.  There is no correlation between those fanatics and Saddam....The administration wrongly made those links which have been completely disavowed....We call it the war on terror...Which it is anything but....People will argue that we are keeping the terrorists preoccupied overseas instead of facing them on our own soil....Where would be the justification for such a thought?....Were we under attack before?

A handful of people were responsible for 9/11 we have used this event to prompt an invasion. 

We should have invaded Michigan for housing the Michigan Militia which Timothy McViegh attended meetings. (bad analogy but not too far off)

There are liked minded individuals who believe that Timothy Mcviegh was not wrong and they are white and live in this country.  You can not kill a mentality...If anything you probably embolden it...Education is the only tool we have to conquer this type of thinking. It cannot be killed.

you may be surprised by how much we are in agreement.i believe that 90% of the country  are dems and repubs.... and we share rather similiar views...... its not untill we get to the 5% on each side that are radicals,,,that things widely vary. we may not agree exactly on how to get there, but we share a destination.
as far as saddam goes,,i dont know anyone who believes that he was involved in 911 . because he wasnt!... i think we invaded because of the widely held beliefs(of many mnay countries and thier intelligence agencies) as well as out own intelligence agencies belief that he was mixed up with making w.m.d's.... and why wouldnt we believe that? for over a decade he played cat and mouse games with inspectors.
whats truley troubling is that it would seem EVERYONE was wrong. the idea, that all of the intelligence agencies could be so wrong is scarey at least.
having said that, at the time, i was all for the invasion. knowing  what we know now, i think any reasonable man or women would want us out of there, and quickly as possible. i have friends and loved ones serving, and i want them all home safely....
id like to tell everyone the best way to get everyone home safely, and not risk another human life. but i dont have those answers,
hell, ask me how to fix mold in ur home,,thats my area of expertize ;)

It was no "Mistake"

I work with a guy who believes Saddam was involved with 9-11 and believes that the 9-11 commission stated that.  Gets his news straight from Fox, Hannity, et al.

I'm a regular blogger, and I'm proud of my blog, but I was agast at a recent bloggers' discussion topic about "how do you research your articles." Virtually ALL of them either "just Googled," "checked Wikipedia" (and while I use both, I certainly wouldn't claim factual evidence based on just those sources), or, most often, just relied on other bloggers.

As frightening as when Rush makes up a survey data and people just believe it.

It would seem he is making an obvious and direct comparison to WWII and the wonderful "War on Terror"...How could someone reach this conclusion?....From his post, I don't think it would be a mistake that he possesses a view that would place him on the "right" side of the political spectrum.

How is this information garnished?....What did he read or hear that would influence his point of view that it would be possible for him to reach this conclusion?

It just doesn't make sense.

I disagree. HOLDING THE GUILTY ACCOUNTABLE IN A COURT OF LAW IS PRIMARY.

Bush didn't "just lie", he committed a FELONY, leading to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.

Without prosecuting him, The United States isn't worthy of ANY respect.

..sorry, but intelligence agencies around the world were far from sure that Saddam was the threat that he was claimed to be. However political pressures prevailed, despite the evidence. You may remember the rhetoric that was thrown against those who said that the decision to invade was based on a false premise.
In another thread you stated how you had faith in the various chains of command. Decisions such as these are what shakes that faith in non-partisan observers. These same decision makers now ask us to condone the torture of people held without trial.......surely your trust is a little bit shaken?

my post about having faith was in a certain job description...... was faith in the people who were doing the the interrogations, were properly trained..... that doesnt transfer to anything else really :)

and from what i remember from those times... our own intell,,and that of our allies,,was very very similiar..... and again, even pres clinton has come out and said that he doesnt blame bush's descion in this area. because he was given reason to believe it as well when he was pres.
that having been said, i would hope we could find a way to get our service emembers home quickly and safely
