ETA:

If you didn't mean that you could have done better than the police in that video, under the same conditions, by coming out from behind cover and making a couple of 100 yard head shots with the available pistols, what exactly did you mean?

You`re trying to make sense.I think this guy has a lot of cowboy/GIjoe fantasies. He imagines himself doing heroic deeds and never gets hit, like Rambo,in this make pretend world. There`s a happy ending, and he gets the girl, just like on TV.<chuckle>

He`s a scary guy,not because of the weapons, but rather the recklessness.
I`m afraid for the immediate neighbors and who happens to be nearby, getting hit by strays when he goes into Rambo mode.
But remember,in make believe land, your bullets never strike the innocent.

as far as my calling is a clip again i DO NOT GIVE A FUCK get it?

I will continue calling it a clip because that is what i always called and i like calling it a clip rather than a
MAG
A
ZINE.

If you dont fucking like it then dont bother reading my posts

Somebody is falling apart like a cheap suit.

How about those who get upset at being refuted, don't make nonsensical and easily challenged claims and criticisms?

Or, take your own advice, and just don't read the replies which challenge errors and call BS.

Fine then prove i am wrong.

You`re doing far better job of that by yourself.Please,...continue...

i dont recall making anything your business and since you do not know shit about what you are talking about then why are you opening your pie ho?

When you post on a public forum, it's everyone's business by default.  If you want to keep things private, this is the wrong place to discuss them.

So what's the deal?  Why did you pull a Houdini after accepting that challenge?  Did you have an acute attack of testicular atrophy or did you just realize you were going to get your glutes handed to you?  What was it?  Enquiring minds and all that.

Clearly.  All that swearing and ALL CAPS TYPING doesn't exactly exude an overwhelming sense of calm on your part.

On that, we can certainly agree.

Right now i am loading up my CLIP and for those of you who like stef cannot figure out how to interpret these intrinsically difficult constructs of language that means putting the bullet thingies in a magazine clip.

I'm perfectly aware of what you meant by clip.  I'm all too used to dealing with Chairborne Rangers and Rambo wannabes who lack the intellectual wherewithall to discern the difference between a clip and a magazine.  You're hardly the first.

oh yeh thats right, no ones eyes can see beyond the target!  good military analysing there macnamara.

I keep forgetting this is an arm chair group out here who paint lighting strike scenarios and build their  cases based on maybes and what ifs.

Whats scary is people like you who will let a gunman shoot those innocent bystanders up while you hide to protect your weenies.   Otherwise known as coward which is what i am hearing alot of in here.

Thankfully we have a second amendment.  (sorta)

ok stef how about this.

Non of your fucking business.   I already told you the reason if you cannot accept it that is your problem.  I am done with that.

You dont have the intellectual capacity to discern the difference between my preference to call a device what i choose and shooting skills as totally different. that also is fine with me.  better you than me.

At least you agreed with me that you do not know what you are talking about.  thank you.

Enjoy your rambo movie.

*steps off soap  box*

BTW- if i used a gun- it could be commendeered from me- and used against me. so i resort to otehr ideas to stay protected.

Thankfully we have a second amendment.  (sorta)

[/quote]

Here`s another insight into the mindset here.
The Constitution says "to keep, and bare arms" No where does it say ,"keep and bare firearms".There`s no guarantee to own a gun.The founders had very deadly firearms in that day,but chose not to word the document w/ a guarantee, to have one.
These guys will tell you it means you can own hi-cap. assault weapons.

As well, this amendment uses the phrase,"well regulated",in reference to the militia .That can only mean government regulation. They ignore that part completely.I wish the neo-con, gun fondlers would read the Constitution and swear to protect and defend it.

If someone picks and choose the parts of the Constitution they want to support, and ignore other parts, you really can`t call that support or defense.
When a NRA supporter mentions the Constitution, beware and keep a pooper scooper in hand.

Peace

I don't think anything productive is forthcoming on this one...

Please don't group Firefighters with Cops.

If I remember correctly, I was talking about anyone who puts themselves in harms way...
Neither group is trained to choose suicide as a first response, and neither group is required to act like they do on TV..

quote:

Cops are tools of The Man, whose role is to enforce the Class divisions. As such, I don't really care if cops die. They, like soldiers, are paid to die.

Which sentiment shows that you are no different from 'the Man'. You think that other people are less than human if they fall into classes against which you hold a bigoted dislike.

quote:

If they have forgotten that, ( Or their UNION gets in the way of their Duty ) that's their problem.

I doubt that either of the examples under discussion involve policies set in response to union actions. Do you think that there is a verifiable record of unions suing or filing ULPs specifically so that police can hide from a firefight? I would like to see it if there were.

More likely that the current standards in police training and department policies (not always the same thing) have resulted in employing tactics in such situations, that are different from what you have learned about police on TV.

quote:

But, of course, I believe we have the 2nd Amendment SPECIFICALLY so we don't need Cops to protect us, so in essence, it's just keeping unemployables off the dole in an interesting way.

That has been suggested for the peacetime military as well, with evidence in support.

But since the police are specifically provided for in the Bill of Rights, why would anyone care if you cherry pick certain amendments to be in favor of, while pretending that others don't exist. ( You do know which amendment directly authorizes police don't you?)

...i'm looking forward to a new cop show, 'Armchair and Ramblo'.....a pair of mismatched crime fighters who are always at odds with their boss 'Chief Fargle'....and featuring their arch-nemesis the evil 'DG'...........
