Status: offline 		has anyone heard of a questionnare for subs o take so the master knows there limits with them? you know where it tells of past exps, goalsbeliefs,motivations values etc.... ive look all over the internet but to no avail P.S. not the checklist a questionnaire ty for any help on this

Status: offline 		Could you use a checklist as the starting point.  I have not heard of such an in depth questionnaire along the lines of what you are looking for ... it sounds like these may be things to discuss face to face or in whatever the main form of contact is once you have got to know eachother and are exploring d/s further. I imagine that whatever the questionnaire it will not cover all of the factors you are interested in so maybe you could write out your own based upon what questions you would like answered and this could be a document that learns and evolves as you do?

Interesting idea though I do not feel that this could be a stand alone document to enable you to decide limits eg. What is your goal in d/s? To be in a 24/7 relationship with a dom. (This can mean different things to different people.) Why do you want to be a submissive? I want to be happy and fulfilled.... (what does that mean??)

Status: offline 		Whilst I agree that the detailed information is best gathered in conversation the checklists do make for a useful tool in ensuring that conversation covers the right ground. Where people go wrong all too often is thinking that once the checklist is filled out, thats the end, rather than the beginning of gathering the relevant information.

I hate questionnaires.  The few times I have been asked to ~fill~ one out the questions have always been beyond where I felt the relationship should be.  One person tried to give me the line that by answering a questionnaire it would take any embarassment out of equasion due to the answers not being given in person.  ~sigh~ 
What a crock ...  trust me, when someone is ready to talk, they will.

edited to add:  once again RavenMuse has given me food for thought...
And I suppose in the light he is presenting it it makes good sense.  ALTHOUGH........ from my limited experiance, it usually does end rather then start there.

agreed

questionnaires are for applying for employment and i don't see being a submissive to anyone as a job.  you would go broke paying what i'm truly worth in a yearly salary.

Several things Idont like about your's Sir are the facts that you ask  
NOTHING about the sub/slave's view of D/s (but then maybe you dont want to know); anything about her personality, characater; hobbies, likes, dislikes outside of sexual bdsm; or that you fail to find room for compatability as people.

Status: offline 		You can find a questionnaire/checklists on the web.  Google is your friend:  keywords bdsm checklist or bdsm questionnaire.
That being said, I agree with others, where is the lost of art of conversation and "getting to know you"?  If I were presented with a checklist, I would probably become "meh" about the entire thing as I'd prefer to have a conversation rather than do a paper and pencil evaluation of what I like.  It seems so clinical.

Status: offline 		i think they are a good idea in thereoy but basically flawed, because being efficiant with people no matter how good the intentions, (not to waste eithers time) always feels a little to robitic, and when you are talking submission i think most folks want to submit because of the feelings they feel for the person they serve, not because of the tasks and duties , likes and dislikes, themselves.

i have to say that question #21 & #22 are vile and have no place anywhere on any type of questionnaire.

If a potential Dom ever sent me something such as this, delete, ignore, movin' on.
