Status: offline 		I was wondering how others deal with the pain after scenes. I love it while it's happening but am having a difficult time the day or two after while healing. The nipples and clit are the worse. It's hard for me to think of anything else cause the pain is so intense to me.

Status: offline 		I usually think of the "after pain" as erotic reminder of what was done.  Often the day after or the day after that my nipples are aching and I get the feeling of wanting more nipple play.  But the all wise common sense  usually wins and the nipples get a week off.

Status: offline 		Sometimes the pain on my breasts is so bad for a few days after that I can hardly stand to move my arms.  What I try to do is think back to how they got that way, it usually brings a smile to my face and makes the pain have more pleasure to it.
 
It's just a constant reminder for me that I am owned.  I don't seem to bruise very easily, so sometimes the pain is all I have to show for it.
 
When it's getting to you, just squeeze your legs together a bit tighter and think how pleased he would be that you are thinking of him.

Status: offline 		Thats why 'aftercare' is so important, not just the mental, but the physical.
 
Take some tylenol or other pain reliever; if you have bruseing (sp? :P), use heat and ice. If I KNOW their will be pain involved, I have been known to take tylenol before I play, so it won't be so bad afterwards.
 
As for your nipples and clit they are sensative to begin with, you might need to take a break from having them played with and let them heal; if it gets worse, go and see your doctor, you may have done damage.

Status: offline 		Do you exercise regularly?  Do you do stretching and warm ups before a scene?  It might just be that you're using muscles that you don't normally use in a very hard way and that takes a day or two to really come out in the body.

Try long hot showers after the scene to help keep the muscles loosened.

Status: offline 		If there is lot of bruising, I would keep the hot long shower for the day after and focus more on ice and cooling.  The reason is you can expect bleeding into an damaged area for as long as 6 hrs and heating it can increase the swelling and add to a bigger bruise.

Highly recommend stretching and warm ups as LA pointed out.

I often take Ibufen (ibuprofen) before activity that could include heavy action or some injury or right after a heavy scene.  But I would never dream of taking any kind of painkiller before a scene.  I need all senses to be able to communicate 100% about my status all the time.  Also... I'm a masochist...

Status: offline 		Also, remember that alot of painkillers are also blood thinners....can sometimes cause excessive bruising.

Sometimes, beatings that release alot of lactic acid from the muscles can cause some flu like symptoms, drink lots of water to flush the system.

I enjoy the pain that continues personally...everytime a shirt rubs against a sore nipple or its uncomfortable to sit it reminds me of Sir and whatever caused the pain. I guess it would depend on what kind of pain though...are you referring to sore from a flogging, nipple clamps, or caning? Or is this muscle pain or pain from being tied up and extremities falling asleep...things like that can be symptoms of something worse.

Status: offline 		Are you speaking of muscular or nerves?  Because you mention clit and nipples, I am assuming its soreness?  So like erin, I would suggest you use arnica.  Arnica aids healing and helps bring out bruising so it heals faster.  You can purchase as a cream and use on those sensitive areas, and take as a small tablet.  If it is muscular, do warm up exercises before hand, just as you would with any exercise.  Massage with comfrey (do not ingest) - you can buy creams containing comfry.  Calandula is good for soreness, redness and irritated skin.  For bleeds, try small amounts of shepherds purse(not the fruit).  Ice is better than heat for soreness and swelling as a compress... try purchasing a wheat or cherrystone pillow and putting it in the freezer, or use good old fashioned frozen food packs.
 
I would not recommend pain killers until afterward and even then, I would only recommend paracetamol or ibuprofen - and particularly avoid asprin as it thins the blood.  Taking ibuprofen can give you stomach problems if you take it on an empty stomach, so take after food.

Status: offline 		wow you sound like what i was thinking this past sat-yesterday.  It's been awhile since i had taken in alot of pain.  It hurt to sit for days but the more i thought about it, the more i thought about what happened and how i got that way.  It's really a good feeling when you think about how you got to that point.

I was gonna suggest this, but saw that erin beat me to it.  Arnica is a homeopathic remedy that is excellent for swelling and bruising.  You can find it at most health food stores.

He really thinks they should be tender all the time, but if they hurt too much then I don't get aroused and he wants me all wet and ready. So he'll joke about keeping them sore but doesn't do it since he wants to be able to play with them again later.

woohoo, i am not the only one...i was confuzled by the OP cause i like my bruises and welts and if they are really colorful i even take pictures...
