BossyShoeBitch -> How many women/men prefer Big men? (7/14/2007 9:55:37 AM)

First off, no this is not a post about penis size.  I just got finished reading a thread about Doms and BBW and it got me thinking.  I am fairly average in height and weight but much prefer men who are at least 6 ft tall and at least 200 lbs. but preferably more.
Muscularity doesn't really play a part in it.  Strength however, plays a big role (as does a decent knowledge of weaponry including firearms and broadswords..)

This is not meant in any way to denegrate those males who don't fall into this physical category.  It is just my personal preference.

So my question is:  How many of you out there prefer bigger men and why?

octavia -> RE: How many women/men prefer Big men? (7/14/2007 10:17:17 AM)

I used to think I prefered tall men.  I could still say that I do, but I've found for me at least, tall is an attitude.  The tallest man I've dated was  I swear, and inch shorter than me.  He thinks he is 5'6 but... [8|].  Regardless, he was so damn confident that it didn't matter a bit to me.  I do like healthfulness and strength though.  I don't want to feel like I could break someone.  And fitness and health are values of mine so i figure I am most compatible with those who value the same things.

Octavia,
I agree, extreme confidence (as opposed to cockiness) is indeed an exception to my rule..

Extreme confidence PLUS the physical qualities I prefer?  Priceless![image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m9.gif[/image]

Quivver -> RE: How many women/men prefer Big men? (7/14/2007 10:23:56 AM)

All I request is ~bigger~ then me, similar in fitness although more fit is nice and gives me something to emulate.  I've dated very tall men a time or two but find I'm most comfortable with 5'10 to 6'2, taller then that somehow just hasnt cut it for me.

Size of a man (i dont mean down there) doesn't matter to me. I am attracted to all kinds. I guess i just want somebody that likes me for me, is willing to help me grow and cherishes me. Treats me with respect and kindness and will brush my hair and back to calm me down when i need it. I want to be in His strong arms when i am tired or just want to snuggle. Honesty and communication are a plus also.

My husband is over 6 foot and built like an ox and 2 oxen strong.  My slave is short enough that I can kiss the top of his head and strong but not like my husband...so what do I prefer?  Character....size and strength mean little to me.

newsubinKC -> RE: How many women/men prefer Big men? (7/14/2007 10:38:39 AM)

i have always perfered bigger men, even when dating vanilla.  There is something about a guy's overall size that makes a short girl like me feel safe and protected.  i love that feeling that is what first attracted me to the lifestyle...feeling safe and protected.  While a Dom's size is not necessarily the most important thing, i think it plays a big part in my physical attraction to Him.

I prefer them on the husky side....why? I have no idea, just something I'm attracted too.

I completely agree with you.  Character absolutely makes or breaks the relationship for me.  I should have been more clear in stating that I was talking about initial physical attraction. A strong character just clinches the deal.

I might add that I have had a weight problem all my life.  I think my preference began because I wanted to make sure anyone I was with weighed more than I did.  Now I think it has more to do with making me feel safe and protected..

I had a boyfriend in college for a while who weighed only a bit more than me and it always made me very uncomfortable with myself.

You know i can relate to this and it brings up body image issues that i have been dealing with.. I don't want to hijack your thread though so I am going to toodle off now and create one about body image issues.....

Lashra -> RE: How many women/men prefer Big men? (7/14/2007 11:11:28 AM)

I do, I do! My sub is 6 ft 4 and 240lbs. I LOVE big men and if they have dark hair and blue eyes (like my sub) they are HOT[:D] I just find bigger men attractive. I'm not a small lady and frankly I like a man my size or preferably taller. I dated a guy smaller than myself and I kept wondering if I'd hurt him as I like to roughhouse sometimes.

Most subs want a dominant who is physically literally bigger and stronger than they are.

I know I refuse to be with someone who is anything more than "a bit overweight" and anyone who doesn't work to keep healthy.  But otherwise size itself isn't much important.

I personally prefer larger men.  I'm a big girl myself and being with a man (vanilla or otherwise) that is larger than I am is a great turn on.  If he has dark hair and dark eyes as well I'm in Heaven  :)

BRNaughtyAngel -> RE: How many women/men prefer Big men? (7/14/2007 11:57:18 AM)

Add me to the list of those who prefer guys who are taller and bigger than me.  I'm not talking obese or some guy who hasn't seen his Mr. Winky in forever because of his protruding belly.

I'm 5'10" in my bare feet and I'm not small, nor am I a bbw..... I'm just curvy.  But I want that feeling of being smaller than him, safe and protected........ and lord wouldn't it be nice to just have my own big teddy bear to cuddle with?  *sigh*

So my question is:  How many of you out there prefer bigger men and why?

I lost my virginity to a tall, dark, broad shouldered man. He dabbled in a variety of things, but he did not have that mysterious something within him that the subbie in me answered to -- he wanted it, but I just didn't have the confidence in his self-mastery to feel I could surrender to him. I wanted someone who was in charge in the bedroom and in charge of their life.  Even 10 years his junior, I still felt more in control of the relationship than I wanted to be.  That ... hurt a lot. Being young and impetuous, I swung to the opposite side of the spectrum.  I started dating men who didn't display any dominant traits at all, physically or psychologically. I exclusively selected very tall, very slender men. Think Tolkien elves. Relationship after relationship was unsatisfying. I would try and nudge things into a direction where I could surrender that control, and be vulnerable and servile, but each relationship was simply doomed to failure. Our core needs were different, and... well.. if I'm hideously and brutally honest, I just didn't fully respect them as men.

The individual who found my subbie girl, and dragged her whimpering out of the closet, is as masculine as it gets.  Taller than me by more than a head, broad shouldered, with arms that can pick me up and toss me on the bed. (And I'm not what you would call petite. Voluptuous and curvy, yes.)  He can hold me down in such a way that my naughty subconcious knows there's nothing I can do about it. It enables my surrender, it stokes the fire of my submission, and it makes me more hot for him than I have ever been for any man in my life.

I need that physicality to help me overcome a lot of the goofy crap roaming around in my skull. It frees me to feel more feminine. To be more girly and vulnerable and submissive. Which, in turn, feeds his sense of masculinity and dominance.

Long story for a simple answer, I guess :  Yes. I like them big and strong.

This is an interesting question to me and I have dealt extensively with it. I had always seemed to end up with men who were about my size-my husband was actually shorter than me. I was talking to a friend one day about the fact that I would like to feel less Amazonian (I am 5'8"), but I seemed to be intimidated by larger men. I did some soul-searching and found that my fear was in fact a hold-over from my childhood. My father was very large and abusive. I was reacting to him and from the POV of a child whenever I had the opportunity to be with a larger man. I decided to get over it. I met a Dom online who was 6'8". I explained my fears and my behavioral approach to them. He agreed to meet me.  Although I have never before or since met someone with the expressed goal of having a sexual encounter, it was wonderful. He used his size as part of his domination- A full foot taller than me and over 100lbs heavier! He made me feel tiny and totally overpowered. Our one-time thing became a very happy months-long affair and great learning experience for me.

Needless to say, I got over my fear of big men. Thankfully, because Master is 6'2", 210 lbs of hunkiness and I would never have allowed myself to go for him before this experience.
