I have a master's degree is social work.  It is only through socialization that starts when we are babies, that trains men to live a in rituals and actions that restrict his genetic hormonal drive for dominance.  Look at a pack of dogs and there is a pecking order with the alpha male in charge of all, and the females always submissive to the males.  Is it hard to believe that we may share our life drives to be shared with another mmal species?  There was a time with tribal man where women were taken by conquest as a norm.

Oh pleaseeeeeeeeeee.

As ever Rover, you're all facade and no substance.  So let's see if I can walk you through this in baby steps so you don't miss it this time.

Ok, this is improvement (of a sort).  You spent six lines discussing the topic, and six lines ragging on me.  I really don't deserve the attention, nor do I desire to be that important in your life.

First, 12 lines is probably less than my average sized post.  I come here primarily to post so it ain't "work".....
Secondly, agreed; you don't deserve my attention and you're not important to me.
Once more from the top, it was a flustered you who didn't wanna discuss *anything* with me anymore and, 6 months later, it was you (all recuperated?) who has now sought me out here to....., wait for it...., DISCUSS matters.

My lifes been all hunky-dory in the interim, didn't even know you were still alive....

quote:

quote:

As for "discussing" it further, all I can say is that that isn't the topic as I was merely responding to a comment from MadRabbit and that I don't particularly care for your referring to the OP as a sack of anything.

Actually, I didn't refer to the OP at all.  I was responding to you when you said this:

quote:

Focus50:
 in theory a 20yo sub need only do as she is told by her dom, with arguably the only real decision she need make is deciding who that dom is.
quote:

The person you described *is* an inanimate object, just like a sack of taters (that's called an analogy).  And that's why your inference is theoretical, yet not practical nor realistic.

Actually, you *did* refer to the OP.  Try and stay with me here....

I made my somewhat lengthy reply directly to the OP - a 20yo newbie sub.  She's actually 21 for memory, but no matter, I merely followed MadRabbit's lead when he quoted directly from that post and queried more or less why I don't have the same time and patience for the hypothetically equivalent 20yo newbie dom.  And my answer to that was what you quoted in your eagerness to get all chatty with me again.

Then came our apparent misunderstanding where you allegedly were referring to the 20yo sub of my post (who was always the OP as opposed to the hypothetical dom) as a sack of potatoes.  There is a direct link in each step - end game.

quote:

I know that your dislike of me will tempt you to disagree, particularly because it will give you another opportunity to vent.  By all means, have at it.  You're cute (and entertaining) when you get all worked up.  :)

NO, NO, NO, NOT TRUE - I DON'T DISLIKE YOU AT ALL!!!!

From what I've seen in the past, when you actually post with substance and sincerity, you impress as intelligent, knowledgeable and experienced on the subject at hand (feel free to quote that anytime).

But when you post offensively or defensively (the majority), there's a marked difference which I confess I personally find easy to counter, as in "References".  What happens is that you forget about substance and those posts revert to your more familiar style of dismissive, condescending sophistry.  Case in point, your "return" posts here at me.  And I really smile when you do it in listed point style, usually a series of questions....  Something to look forward to?

Thing is I really do think you're quite intelligent, moreso than myself.  But you have the common flaw of not always being so smart with it.  So it manifests as superiority and arrogance when you're in fight mode.  And I don't mind that because your "primary weapons" have no affect on me!  You're Frasier or Niles to my less eloquent or cultured Ros or Marty - you ain't got a chance.

You really orta stick with substance and forget the prancing!  Yet that's why I like you - I just don't repect you.  Entertainement?  You're the best show here.... *wink*

Finally, before you go calling me a hypocrite for equally being condescending etc to you, that's just communication; I'm speaking the language you know so well.  Btw, see how I've been a good sport in revealing the chinks in your armour?  Consider fixing that when next you want to discuss something.  And on topic please.

Rover -> RE: I have a theory... (7/20/2007 5:55:39 AM)

Case in point, Focus.  Why is your post nearly all about me and not about the topic?

Palerose-correct me if Im wrong. But what I read into your question is what any new sub questions at the get-go.

How long before you get tossed to the curb like a broken toy? Ive asked these same things of my D. He isnt speaking in eternal terms but gave me some comfort in knowing this isnt a one-night deal. Nor is it a game. Best I could ask for, I guess.

Focus,

So what you are saying is not only Australia a nation of followers who submit to the will of others, they can't even make good decisions about who to follow?  Not only that but you also slow at learning.  I wonder how that shaped your personality?

Hey sweet kitty,

I've grilled my Dom on that alot because that's how it feels sometimes and perhaps you picked that up from my original post, although that wasn't intended lol.

I've had the same reassurance, obviously he's a man and men lie, but I think I can trust he's not going to throw me away, if it ends it will end like any vanilla relationship should end. He can respectfully let me know that I'm not right for him anymore.

rmanrr -> RE: I have a theory... (7/21/2007 6:04:17 PM)

Greetings
Tried that and failed...heh. I guess if I ever have to again I should be rude, brazen, contemptuous and without a care or feeling at all for the person in question. Given recent events though....I doubt that I will ever have to again.
