I don't bet: I have too many vices as it is. But that's probably because I'm Jewish [8|] .

haha.. you're a jewish human. does that make you a breed of human? or are you phenotypically jewish?..

lol..

wait, actually, since you bring that up. and i've always wondered. how can people tell someone is jewish. i hear stereotypes about XYZ (you know the jewish stereotypes).. but to the average black person everyone pretty much just looks white. how can whites determine if someone is jewish or not?

my best friend converted to judaism to marry her bf. she looks the same to me as she did before conversion. and i'm not being a smart ass.

how can people tell these things based upon religion? or is judaism a religion and jewish is a *race*? (notice guys.. i'm saying race).

i'm pagan.. i'm a self professed witch. i hope i don't look like a witch, but i did have an old lady tell me i'm going to hell last friday.

btw.. i learned what a *wop* was last nite..

it means With Out Papers.  i think it pertains to italians.

hmmm..   i never knew that.

what's up with race? and why do people like me have such a hard time feeling that race is important?

i seriously don't care what anyone is. i really don't. i don't have preconceived notions based upon the colour of someone's skin. i just go on how they treat me. and then i despise them based upon character.. and not skin.

the more i read this thread the more i thank my mom for having friends of all *races* that i had  the opportunity to play with as a child. kids don't give a fuck about supposed *race* unless they're taught that from kindergarten.

i'm so glad i wasn't. i view the whole of humanity as my brothers and sisters.   i'm not a creationist and i'm not segregationist.

with that being said, i DO appreciate the phenotypical differences. dammit i LOVE my white Dom/fiance and i love blondes/blues. and i know that would be hard to happen with intermixing.

eh.. i'm rambling

The Creator isn't interested; he's too busy fucking Jewish girls to worry about all that, and he has a few Muslim girls lined up in case the Jewish girls play the "no gene sharing/religious barrier" card. 'Bigger fish to fry; he's not really that arsed about St Paul.

Well unless they have peyots' or are wearing something equally as 'relevant' like a skull cap or shtreimel then there isn't any real 'way' other than the usual crass sterotypes that could fit any number of people.

I'm all for spreading my wings and experiencing new places; however, the French and Germans are down there, so I'll do what I can to keep out of the place.

The creator and I......I see the two of us as competitors, rather than friends; therefore, if push comes to shove, I'll throw my lot in with the devil, the French and the Germans in hell.

I wrote a chapter about Mars in my astronomy & geology book.

Are there Jews on Mars too?

There probably used to be. When the Mars rovers started to drive around on Mars a Jemenite family started a ruckus, demanding money because their ancestors came from Mars. So if Jemenites used to walk around on Mars, why not also Jews and South American indians and Bavarians too?

Trust me, if the Eternel was fucking with me, I'd be 'au fait' with it. I'm not completely insensitive, you know.

'No women's rights in hell; the place is ran by men for men: no unions, no suffragettes, no 19th century philanthropic businessmen, no law, and certainly no bringing your own tools. Interested?

The great thing about this is that if you let someone talk long enough, you eventually uncover the truth about them.

Sad, Rule. Very sad...

DarkWriter -> RE: There isn't such a thing as 'races' in humanity. (8/7/2007 1:14:22 PM)

Some of us have no interest in race, we don't see it and we don't take it into account when we deal with people. I wish that was the norm over here and not the exception but like it or not, America--that "shining city on a hill"--is probably the most racist country in the world, certainly among the industrialized countries. In my own family, I am the only one who feels like that. So, when I introduced my then fiancee, who is black, to the folks, they were up in arms. So, I did what anyone with a spine would do: I married her and had 4 great kids!

I refuse to allow the racism of others to be my problem (that is, make it my problem at your own peril) and I refuse to allow people like that to hide behind science to justify their pathetic notions.

Rule -> RE: There isn't such a thing as 'races' in humanity. (8/7/2007 1:24:20 PM)

Pff, DW, and what truth is that?

I am also still waiting - in the ghost thread - for a more detailed description of the creature that molested you in the graveyard. For example: did it make any noise, did you smell it, what was its body mass, height, the diameter size of its eyes, did they have pupils, how about its ears?

You see: I take you and your testimony seriously. I am not a bigot. But this is your opportunity to prove me wrong and to bring me a notch down and to shake my believe in my superiority in some respects with regard to any other human being: simply state that you lied about that experience.

DarkWriter -> RE: There isn't such a thing as 'races' in humanity. (8/7/2007 1:48:00 PM)

I thought about asking where you got your brown shirts ironed, but then I decided I didn't want to know. The sad truth, rule, is that you are a bigot. You try to use science to justify stupidly short-sighted attitudes and, what's more, you are arrogant as hell about it. You have a narrow point of view in which you are the arbitor of truth. You are not, and the sad truth is that the longer you stay perched on your high, high chair, sniffing at the rarified atmosphere, the colder and more lonely it will become for you.

As for the incident in the cemetary, that was written the way it happened. If I had a better description of the thing, I would have shared it. That is called intellectual honesty and it is something you should learn about. As for the truth of the matter, it is true. Why would I have opened myself up to the likes of you for the sake of a lie? Truth is truth and I will speak the truth, whether you choose to believe it or not, whether you choose to ridicule me for it or not.

That is called honor. It is something else you should learn about.

Pffft - womens rights are over rated - I like my bra so that aint burning.  Unions aren;t worth the money you pay - like church.  I don't suffer in silence - so no biggie.  Philanthropic businessmen have no imagination, and really - laws always kinda suck.  But no bringing my own tools?  C'mon now - (as Ron calls 'em) these bazongers aint getting left behind - it would be a totally heinous crime dude!

I think not using the word 'race' is a good start. I never taught my son to look at other people's colour. It's pretty evident to a person that can see that humanity comes in many shades and different looks. And you know what? It works. He doesn't describe people by the colour of their skin.

I believe if we all showed some good faith towards those that LOOK different from us, we'd be moving towards a safer, kinder society. .

With the exception of not using the word race I agree with the sentiments expressed here.
But...sloppy sentimentality doesnt help much either and it needs to be recognised that because people should be equal before the the law they are not equal one to another, be it group ie race or individual.

i entirely feel the same way. they're just giving themselves enough rope to proverbially hang by.

it's really sad that some people still cling to these ideals, but i guess they do. and like you said later,  "I refuse to allow the racism of others to be my problem (that is, make it my problem at your own peril) and I refuse to allow people like that to hide behind science to justify their pathetic notions. it's not my problem either.. it's theirs

As a matter of fact you are quite right about me being lonely. There are quite a number of intelligent people on here, but only LadyEllen has the ability to completely comprehend me and vice versa. It is really sad that you do not - but that is not unusual and I do not mind and love you anyway, for it is how you were created.

Okay. Just hoped that rattling the tree with my questions would make you recall something more. But you saw its eyes! How can you not make a guess as to their size? You felt it strike.
Never mind. I already have some idea what Spring Heeled Jack looks like from the descriptions provided by other witnesses.

Pff. Riding a high horse, aren't you? This seems to me a case of the pot calling the kettle black. The difference is that I know that I am wise and the best at what I do, whereas your arrogance is unwarranted.

Okay. I never doubted you. Are you insecure or something? You seem to have gotten your buttons pushed all the wrong way and it was not me that did it. So it must have been you that did it to yourself, doing me injustice in the process.

I told you that I took you and your testimony seriously. Where did I say that I did not believe you? Where did I ridicule you? Methinks that you are very much confused when you are making such demonstrably false allegations.

Still on that high horse. Nah, if you truly knew me, you would not say that. I am the friend of all righteous people, but for some warped reason you appear to have arrived at the opposite conviction. But you know what: that is not my problem but yours, as is everything else that you are wrong about because of your own prejudices and hatreds.

LadyEllen -> RE: There isn't such a thing as 'races' in humanity. (8/7/2007 2:47:56 PM)

Lady Ellen would like to point out that whilst her comprehension is often accurate, comprehension of a position and sympathy for it are not necessarily the same thing.
