Can't recall what they were called but were long wax tubes filled with colored sugar water. Had to bite the end off to drink the liquid!

I remember seeing those as kids but never tried them.  I don't know the name.  We always bypassed those for candy necklaces, Necco wafers, and candy cigarettes.  I bet they don't make those anymore....lol.......luci

Lawn darts :)
no not for CBT LOL

ross.g

Yeah, weren't those great?  We had a big, flat front yard and played those alot.  Thankfully, none of us were ever mortally wounded...........luci (and thanks a lot for the image of using them for CBT.  I really needed that in my head)

Mine isn't a food but a product.....Sega Genesis and the Atari!!!!

Oh yeah.  Atari was so cool at the time.  I loved "Pitfall" the best where that little guy had to swing on vines over croc-infested ponds and such.  I was so good at that one.  Kids today would be insulted if they had to play such primitive games with old-fashioned equipment like that...lol......luci

Bonkers made a magical feeling inside my mouth, an indescribable veneer you could feel. It was more intense if I breathed in. Mad Crock energy chews are exactly the same with a touch of caffeine flavor.

Then, as I was needing to roll both empty carts back inside, a guy of about 18 or 20, I'd say, asked if I'd like him to help me.  He pushed one cart back in and held the door for me to get the other.  Super polite and helpful.

I was on vacation to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and had to board a trolley car.  When the time came for my mother and I to stand, there were a couple of young adult males and females who gave up their seats for my mother and I to sit on them.

I also find in my area that the elderly people can have less manners than the younger people.  I guess simply because in their belief they feel entitled to some things because they are older.  Personally, I don't care how old you, there is still no excuse to be rude.

Warning....conspiracy theory following.....that's why they quit making it.  It worked too well and actually helped people get better....lol.  How about the real good old days when you could stroll down to the corner drugstore and buy a big ole bottle of codeine?  Before my time, I think, but I've read it used to be quite something......luci

I second the lawn darts.  There was nothing more fun than hurling a sharp projectile at your friends as they waited patiently for their turm to do the same.

Good list, pahunkboy.  Please pardon my ignorance, though, but what are contometers?  Thanks for your reply.........luci

Or the very good old days when Coke contained real coke and you could get opium over the counter.

Nice show of politeness.  I haven't seen that same thing too much myself.

True.  But just as we're supposed to respect our elders in general, I think it's also good to realize that they've kind of "paid their dues" and lived alot longer, so why not look over their less than polite behavior sometimes?  It's still not excuse to be downright mean, though.........luci
