I second the lawn darts.  There was nothing more fun than hurling a sharp projectile at your friends as they waited patiently for their turm to do the same.

For sure.  Badminton wasn't nearly as fun with that soft, little, lightweight shuttlecock.  What kind of damage can that do?..........luci

Or the very good old days when Coke contained real coke and you could get opium over the counter

Yeah.  Back when painkillers really killed pain and access was easy.  Never mind the subsequent addiction..........luci

Can't say I've ever heard of "Duz."  Great way to increase your drinking glass collection, though.......luci

I miss Team Flakes and some fruit snack, they were long sticks with one flavor on the outside and another on the inside, but I really really really miss the Team Flakes, anyone know where to buy 'em these days?

Koogle peanut butter (chocolate, cinnamin, banana and vanilla flavors)

Michael,
I think that's what I meant above when I said "Google."  It was in a short, round jar with a pair of big eyes on the jar.  The only kind I ever had was the chocolate and peanut butter but I think we're talking about the same thing.  This would have been in the mid-to-late Seventies..........luci

I've been hoarding all of mine over the years....Atari, Nintendo, Genesis w/cd and 32x, playstation, 2, now 3.  Does anyone remember the Captain Power series where you bought the ship and they reacted to video tape movies that were the actual game? That was great when I was a kid.

Wow, I'm surprised.  I would think kids today would find it boring compared to what they have access to.  The 2600 is what we had too.  My Dad was the "Frogger" king.  He whipped our butts everytime........luci

I know.  I'm really enjoying this.  Plus, I've found out several of the things we've thought we couldn't get anymore really are still available.  The "cigarettes" we "smoked" as kids weren't made of bubble gum, though.  They were super skinny ones made out of white, chalky stuff with a little pink dot on the end that was supposed to be the "flame."  They tasted a bit like Pepto-Bismol if memory serves.........luci

I wondered when you'd chime in.  Great links as usual.  Those "Marathon" bars were the greatest, for sure.  Never heard of the "Curly Wurly" but it looks about the same.  Thanks for that "Marathon" ad.  I want Master to see it.  He doesn't remember those.........luci

Yes, that's it!  Thanks again, Level.  This stuff was so delicious.  Don't know why they ever quit making it.........luci
