Something else to consider.

I'm a woman who recently joined and with a photograph no less. I'm on the average side- and I've gotten many responses... many of which just didn't fit. If you are replying to the women who appeal to you (ie- those who fit the socio-stereo type currently in vogue) than they must be swamped. It's overwhelming to face an inbox with that much in it...

No response to mail used to be my pet hate, especially as i only ever mail to ask a question or pay a compliment, attempt to form a friendship, my profile is quite clear....

I came to realise that people that don't respond are just rude and ignorant, so i'd not want to waste my time with them anyway....it turned a negative into a posative for me

You know...I was going to come back with some smart ass remarks but then I realized that it would not be fair...you would be catching the brunt of the anger reserved today for my ex.

losttreasure was right...your profile is not all that bad. Very specific and you have the right to be, no one denies that. However, given your specific requirements...and assuming that the emails you send are to those who seemingly fit those requirements...consider that those receiving your email may not read it as they are receiving mail from 10, 15, 20 other dominants. Those 10, 15, 20 other dominants may be dominants whose posts are more numerous...whose posts reflect a way of thinking more in line with the submissive you have emailed...and whose profiles, when the submissive checked them, were more appealing than yours. Perhaps their looks were more appealing to yours.

Now...how could other dominants' posts be more appealing than yours? Well...you came on here with a complaint, jumped those who disagreed with you, name-called, etc., etc., etc.. Check out some of the other dominants' posts on various topics...including this one which has come up before in one way or another...and see if you note any difference in mindset...beliefs...ability to do something other than come up with a smart ass answer or a hurtful answer to others offering advice or their opinion. Yeah, you will see disagreement...and some flames...but generally, they are coming from those who are well-known, established and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, who back up their disagreements and flames with good sense. Those that don't....eh, they are dismissed fairly quickly.

Why on earth would we bother flaming you, you are doing a better job of it than even I could do.

Lots of reasons people don't respond. My inbox is stuffed with mail, I try and respond to requests for advice and the like but the "hellos" don't always get one. People have no responsibility to respond and to decide that anyone who doesn't respond to you is a troll is arrogance even I couldn't top.

I can appreciate that you have an abundance of mail. I wish you luck in sorting through it all. I do however hope you will at least take time to glance at it and send a short no to those that have at least put forth some effort to write you a brief coherant note. Again, good luck with your search.

I certainly appreciate your thoughts and understand them, however again, this really isnt about anyone liking my profile. alot of you are missing that point due to the fact that several didnt like my profile... The point was really about people taking the time to say "no thank you". I have certain things in my profile because I feel I need to be clear and when I read a profile, I read it with the same understanding. therefor when I do reply, I do so in hopes that the very people that took the time to write a decent profile expecting certain things will simply say "no thanks" and move on. That however would be a perfect world and I realize this isnt one. It was just amazing to me how many here havent even taken the time to read their mail or as some have said allowed it to go to bulk mail. I have always and will continue to take that time since I'm asking others to do so.

I do make an effort to return mail & usually I am pretty good on return time. Lately though I have had some that I just read/delete because honestly.. how am I supposed to respond to 'hi'?
It feels rude to ignore those but I've gotten weary from simple 'hi's back and forth with no other meaning attached to them.
Good or interesting conversation begets that in return from me and probably from others.

Admittedly I did skip over some posts in this thread so I don't know if anyone asked 'Are you using form emails?'. Are they generic in feel? Those tend to put me off a bit.

Like many have said 30 emails is not a lot when considering how many emails some of us get daily!

im not sure if i replied back to you or not, but what i meant regarding the chats was that i noticed that alot of peopkle change their chat names here and when you are in the chats you cant review their profiles and i could be wrong, but i thought i was told by someone that you had to be a registered member here to chat. i could be wrong, but thats what i was told. therefore i wonder why people would change their names in the chat rooms in order not to be recognized? anyway, sorry if i already replied

i certainly can understand not responding to a note that just says hi or even rude notes, those really arent the ones im talking about though. and again i understand that for some it may take time to get back to people and that you arent going to be interested in everyone either. good luck to you in your search, i hope you find a special one in your in box or elsewhere!
