People will take any set of fiction and adopt it to reality.  It's just human nature.

I haven't read the Beauty books, but in talking to those who have and enjoyed it I can't imagine they're any more dangerous to the lifestyle than Harry Potter is to Wicca.  I have less of a bias against them I think, because they are potrayed as fiction, not reality.

It is not actually that specific series, it is that type I  was referring to.  The series I'm trying to remember(forgive old age, smiles) had an Angioussette or something similar.  I definitely liked the Beauty series myself, and for the life of me( I did not read them personally, my exslave did) but there were quite a few in the series if I remember correctly.

Yes, one should be able to seperate fact from fantasy.  Who knows, maybe its a twisted (very, lol) version of a white(dark) knight or knightess coming to the rescue. I will look at some of our first correspondence before she came to live with us and see if I can see the series title.  She did copy passages from that book to me, and oh yes, parts were highly erotic, but definitely fiction.

I just read this entire thread in one sitting so i have many thoughts. I probably won't remember most of them [8|]

First and foremost i am in great distress. How could i possibly have watched firefly as many times as i have and not seen a D/s connection. Please somebody enlighten me before i go crazy.

Ok, now i'm going to visit castlerealm and make a more on topic post. :)

People get "here" from diverse paths.  Mine was a site called Takeninhand.com which is more D/s and not much BDSM at all.  Does it matter how we got here as long as it was SSC?  And, dont we tend to go more deeply into "this" once we realize who we are and what has been missing?

Hi folks--

The woman who's an anguisette (Phaedra) is the protagonist of a series of fantasy novels by Jacqueline Carey (the Kushiel series).  She combines several genres (fantasy, alternate history, intrigue, and BDSM) in the series, and I enjoyed them for the complexity of the plot lines and characters.

I'm suggesting that by the time someone has made their way to our little neck of the woods on collarme, they're probably ready to take the training wheels off their bicycle.

Why the assumption ???   Folk fnd their way here and ask what sites they should go to and castlerealm is usually the listed choice first....
why?

mnottertail -> RE: Castlerealm; or, the meaning of BDSM Lite (8/11/2007 7:35:44 PM)

because due to centuries of upbringing, I give you some sites, and then I can ask you for a blowjob----------

simple, when you know how to do it.
