Now, I am not bashing big girls...I find them not only attractive and sexy, but also practical (a woman with more meat on her bones usually offers a much larger variety of practical applications in bondage, sexual use, etc. than an anorexic twig).

so are you now calling all thin women ugly twigs? think we're not attractive, sexy, or practical?

we're not all anorexic yanno. pttttttttttttb!

good point!

doesn't mean you didn't create a "fat thread"

If anything, it should be considered it an "aesthetically-challenged thread"...but that is not what it is about...it is about perception and labeling.

Aesthetically-challenged? Jeez, you are a piece of work.

OP be warned, this is a topic that tends to bring out an astonishing amount of hostility so I hope you can take it.

Thanks for the warning, but I am not worried about any level of hostility, since I know full well the benign spirit in which I posted this.

In your OP you said call a spade a spade...if you are fat don't mask it...call it fat.  That only applies to women?  It doesn't apply to this type of thread?

The asthetics argument is almost as heated as the fat argument.  Who is the authority on what is asthetically pleasing? I gaurantee if we asked every poster on this page here for their opinion, thered be a huge range of what they find attractive.  A label for ones self is exactly that.  How you percieve yourself, regardless of how others may see you. If someone says BBW and you like thin women, you can steer clear. If you want someone average, you look for HWP.  Personally, knowing how I am built, the number means little, so the proportion means nothing to me, but it does to some people.
Why are we so hung up on labels? (there are a score of label threads too, and why we send so much time worrying about them)  So, there ya go.  the trifecta!
The attractiveness idea, the fat thread and the labels thing.

What you don't seem to be getting is that it's about YOUR labelling and YOUR perception, not theirs.

BUW4you -> RE: How come all BIG women are "BEAUTIFUL"? (8/10/2007 10:07:10 AM)

Ya know...the term BBW is one thats always given me pause also.....I actually prefer the profiles on the swingers sites where people describe them selves as "a bit thick" (does this mean thick headed or thick waisted, I always wondered)

That is correct - say it as it is. If someone is big and calls themselves a B** (fill in whatever acronym you like), they are truthful and that is fine. My challenge was with the *B*. Being big does not necessarily make anyone beautiful (neither does being skinny or being medium). That is the spade that I am calling a spade.

Having said that...let's not start talking gender biases...how bout women go gray and men are distinquished?  How about a lifetime bachelor and an old maid?  I am sure I am not the only person who can play the biases game with you.

But a woman will normally not be bald big gutted and wishing her dick were bigger.

No, it doesnt.  Nor does it make anyone unattractive.  So, if they think they are beautifl and they call themselves so, you have a problem with their self-perception?

That's funny! Well i perved ya!

i think the reason i don't like the acronymn "BBW" is there is no other acronyms used as regularly. There is nothing for normal size people unless you want to use HWPBW ( height/weight proportional beautiful woman) and that is just a mouthful. Why draw attention to one's size with any acronym? And as far as the declaration of beautiful...if i think i am beautiful - that is one thing, but if i state to others that i am beautiful, i will get a couple of reactions: 1) she is confident 2) she is delusional 3) she is telling me how i should perceive her - therefore invalidating my own preference of beautiful.
So, i see the OP point. It is not about size but it certainly draws attention to it~
