Well, in response the the OP's basic concept, here's my 2p: It is highly situational. I will speak now in terms of age range/difference. A submissive significantly younger is like a ripe peach. They may be fresh, and firm, and sweet, but in the end they won't usually make for a satisfying meal. A submissive in the same age range (I go ten years in either direction, as a general rule) can still be firm and sweet, but they have the richness of shared life experiences that put them in the realm of a nice cut of meat. (granted, if a steak is not handled properly, it can be a very bad thing, and the analogy applies here too.) A submissive significantly older (and here I'm dragging out a chesnut) is like a bottle of wine. They can be rich, and sweet, and utterly pleasing, or they can have been improperly handled and turn bitter. And of course, not everyone can appreciate some wine, no matter how excellent the vintage. quote:
