We - okay, my sub - always puts them out if he finds one in the house. Recently he came across the mother of all garden spiders in the UK, must have spanned 5" across and terrified the life out of him. I did derive a sense of enjoyment watching him pluck up the courage to put a beer glass over it - without cutting its legs off in the process. I'm just thankful he did pluck up the courage to do it - I couldn't have, especially when he described how bigs its fangs were! I likely would have fainted had he presented it to me. It's no wonder the cats didn't take it on. It must have been a hellish time for you both going through that. It's shocking just how much tissue damage such venomous spiders can cause and hope you are able to have something done about the scarring the wound has left. quote:

ORIGINAL: GhitaAmati facinating hell! I could care less how there friggin eyes are arranged, you should see what one of the little buggers did to the back of my arm. I had one bite me and give me an infection that took five surgeries and 18 months of antibiotics to cure. He crawled in my pants and bit me on the butt when i tried to put my pants back on. Not his fault or mine either. I still love them, still pick them up and take them out of the house.
