[in theory] it is nothing peronal- but the almighty corporation- is reaping what it has sowed. i hereby award myself pahunks informal post of the day award. congrats to me, PaHunk, that's true about Banks. When I lived in N.H. my bank changed hands twice in four years! Some banking giant from Rhode Island bought them out the last time. (Fleet?) They're not "community banks" anymore. When I applied for a job at a large national insurance company years ago in the interview process I told the lady that I had a bachelors degree in business administration. Her reply; "that's nice." All she wanted to talk about was what I did in the USCG. And after I was hired the training director told me; "forget all that college bullshit, we're going to teach you our way." And, the people who made the most money in that company didn't even have degrees. They were salesmen and saleswomen and many of them made $2-$300k per year, very good money in the 1980's! Nice to make $6,000 to $8,000 per week. The really "big" money is in sales! Of course I showed up for my interview 30 minutes early and very well dressed in suit and tie.
