ORIGINAL: MadRabbit I realize that, my friend. I wont deny it. I'm sure I have a lot to learn and a lot of mistakes to make. But...what am I, right now, supposed to do to change that? Its not a problem like a wet sock that can removed or a broken window that can be fixed. I listen and learn from people I respect (and that respect isnt given solely based on age), but I'm sorry if I cant buy into or accept the idea that I should be "dismissed" simply because I was born ten years later than someone else. You can't change it. Some understandings you just have to wait for. Until you've lived long enough to have the experience, you are basically stuck. I will add, though, that one of the most crucial understandings is the importance of listening to EVERONE--young, old, and in between--and accepting good ideas regardless of source. If someone dismisses you just because you're "young"--shrug it off and move on. Associate with people who will listen to you. Just be sure to return the favor!
