I want a harem of slave men.. I am high maitnence there for it would work great for me. One to cook, one to clean, one to wash clothes, one to shop , one to drive me around, one to bathe me,  I would love it,  I thought about a house where I coud put bunk beds in there and thats how they would sleep. Some would work others wouldnt. If they fought they would be handcuff together and beat, side by side, they would learn to get along.. all of them in cb 6000. w/shocking dog collars...

Yess. My Dimension is set for any number of males (and at least one or two helper girls) that can serve together - I am probably one of the optomists that believes it can be done.
Samaria had it right here and I fully agree - a stable of course - but would they all be studs? There's usually an order that rises, from the self effacing ones to the powerhouses - and oh yeah, I want a set of twins. 
Harems weren't necessarily under the same roof - in that the girls had to get along, or kill each other - but they were typically called upon to serve away from their living area.
It does look to Me that LadyHugs knows her business - a barracks, complete with training days, chores, snap inspections and outside jobs. yum.

Hmmmm, hello Ladies, allow me interject a possibility. One of our goals in our planned community is to have a series of themes that play to specific types of fetish's and specific types of living.One is  for Fem Doms. We have aproximately 5  themes currently. A place for male slave types can come and serve dommes in a ideal mindset. Is there enough serious interest in this to make is sustainable in reality ? I ask because thus far we have had mixed results to our current plan. Thank you for your time. Best regards.

Haha. In my dreams, I'd love to have one. Unfortunately, it's not practical nor does it really appeal to my need for more intimate and one-on-one relationships. I've thought about having more than one partner before, but I think I might just stick to one for the time being.

Although, whenever I fantasize about male harems, I let myself go wild. Have you ever seen those dungeon beds with a cage in the bottom holding it up? Think how fun it would be to have on on the bed being tortured, another two in the cage below, and a few others chained to the walls. [:)]

I have to put a vote in on the other side of that opinion... One man/many women households have been quite a bit more challenging to me than many men/one woman.  Usually the guys sort themselves out much more quickly, chores are distributed a bit more sensibly, and there are less screaming matches.  Of course, a strong component of that is perspective... I was one man brokering between many women, and you were one woman (assumedly) brokering between multiple men.  That tends to slant your view.

Not that I'd particularly want a harem of men... I just believe I'd be able to get better cooperation.  A harem of women, assuming I'm not an oil sheik, would be an altogether higher order of complexity.

They would have to be very special individuals!

In my experience, personal slaves end up CAUSING more work than they actually do. I've had people beg permission to do my laundry, run my errands, etc, only to end up more exhausted after having them do it than if I'd just done it myself.

I've noticed that we as a group have fallen into a trap of changing the word "harem" when we are discussing men. In a harem, the slaves, concubines, and wives (they all live there by the way) don't do work outside of being pretty and pleasing to the master/husband. Unless he gives them offspring then the political work begins.

An actual harem would probably be incredibly boring for most people today -- for the people in it, I mean. Sure might sound nice to only have to be good with sex but what if you had nothing else to do except gossip and compete? No education, no work, no even going outside the walls of the harem unless you are called to the master/husband's bed or to entertain him.

In general, I don't think the concept of a harem could work if the subs are mainly for intimate purposes, as jealousy would pop up immediately (it's like having two dates at the same time, I had that once and it was not a good idea :-). But if a harem mees a stable of service subs who each perform their tasks I think in theory it could work. The hard part will be of course to keep the boys motivated :-)



For some reason, I don't think you'd have such a hard time keeping them motivated! A smile from you, a touch, a caress, a slap here and there, the hope of something more ...

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
 
This is not addressed to any one person and or post--
 
The reason why I would pick a barrack situation of men, is that most lads have had military like structure in their lives.  Either by sport, by military, by para-military jobs.  The understanding of team work, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the team, the team can compensate for the weakness of an individual team member.  Dominants are leaders --wearing many hats per se and using many leadership styles.
 
In addition -- self is also giving of self on the behalf of another.  When one wins--everybody wins.  Pacing so nobody is left behind and not left out or shown as being the weak one of the team.
 
That said,  having a team requires maintainence and skill--so do relationships.  One should only have as many men in their lives that they can recieve equal love, attention, play time and -- playing no favorites.  In my household, all my slaves did rotation in jobs about the house as well as being with me, dungeon time.  I had group days and days only for one slave to have me all to themselves and without sharing and or interruption.  If a slave needed me out of turn, the slave who gave their time up for a slave in need was given double time with me.  Some of my slaves had shifts in their profession--this worked nicely, as one slept and or at work--the others served.  I also made sure that slaves had their private time, days off from serving and have fun on their own.  I also did not make extra work for them either. 
 
Just some thoughts.

A very wise way to do things, LadyHugs.

When I had 3 slaves or submissives at once, damn I miss that time, we did things very much the same way. The glitch was Valentine's Day -- I thought I'd explode by the end of the day with breakfast with one, lunch with another, afternoon tea with a third and then my dinner with the husband.

Now that Fox has been in our family so long we actually just all three go out together and then I give each private time and we exchange gifts as couples. Sometimes it's so cute how vanilla we look from the outside.

I know someone who builds excellent dungeons  in LA. As soon as I get a couple of other important house projects out of the way I am planning to hire him to build my bed. Cage underneath, ability for suspension from above. Super-sturdy, many places for hook-ups.

My thoughts were somewhat different than yours.....
A lover in my bed, a blind folded cuck down below. The cuck has to listen and cannot do anything. *grin*. A third sleeping on a rug by my bed as a pet.

Also, My harem (actually I love that word) would have men and one other woman as my sub. Of course in my dreams they all get along, no one gets too competitive, and we sail smoothly into our D/s Utopia. Ha! *winks*

Most would work, and also have plenty of play time and laughter. Lots of warm affection expressed in many ways, at least one genuine pain slut and the new trainees are respectful and not 'do-me subs'.

I have 2 outdoor rooms that are going up right now in my big back yard and I will make one a dungeon and one as a harem looking room, beautiful outdoor friendly fabrics, a couch with beautiful pillows. Perfect for nude sunbathing or sensual playtime. Sleeping out under the stars, pedicures, all kinds of worship.

Then, the jacuuzi is going up 15 ft from the Harem room.

ps: I have the eyebolts for walls and also from the center of the living room attached to the center island beams floor and 7 ft up for bondage and pain lovers. And, I am planning on making the bathroom more workable for fun and games.

   The concept sounds delicious - but in reality it would be like acquiring too many cats - as appealing as they are ...
 
   Gradually you find you can't keep up with the care/feeding/medical necessities required  - and it all becomes a drain on one's time , wallet , and sanity !

YES it appels to me as a Switch. as a fantasy this would be fun as anything but in reality it would be somewhat difficult.. i dissagree that men would be more difficult then woman thou.. men r usually more orderly. i would have a few of each sex.. and id have subs and some switches as well.. best of at least most worlds. i do agree that it wouldnt be a haram, when i think harem i think sex slaves, mine (if i ever had one) would be more of a kennel/stable/barracks.. more of a place to keep them for when i want them then a place to go and have my brains licked out *smile* outside work or any work is key i think.. giving them something to do when im not available or busy with something or someone else. this would make a fun vacation from reality but i highly doubt it will ever be in my life more then just fantasy.. sadly.
