You get back to me when that happens. Right now, the Neocon Party Whores seem to have invented the word Citizen somewhere in the 5th Amendment...

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Ok... So you got the preamble right. So, why the EXPLICIT USE of "ANY PERSON" in the 5th and 14th Amendments, if they didn't mean ANY PERSON?

It's not like they didn't use the word "Citizen" when they meant "Citizen", so when they use "ANY PERSON" they MEAN ANY PERSON.

Gee Farg, could it be that slaves were only considered to be 3/5's of a "person" back then?
A lot of the signers were slaveholders.

Nice avoidance of a direct question. Ever thought of being a politician? I agree that our government is majorily screwed up, and drastic measures may be needed, but why sidestep my question?

So they should be friendly to someone who has stated that the US is an enemy and should be destroyed along with Israel?

Some would suggest since the US Government is now depriving Persons of the 5th Amendment Rights, and has tortured people for 1300 days and more before pretending to THEN give them due process, that the US Government has surrendered it's Moral Right to rule.

That means, being in violation of the Constitution and Amendments, the Declaration of Independence should be invoked, the Federal Government dissolved, and the States should decide how best to re-federalize should it be desirable.

And of course, the Human Rights Violations of the Israeli Government is enough to call for it's dissolution.

So, what's your problem?

It is not so much a matter of letting him speak or being afraid of what he has to say. It is a matter of looking at the man's history, the words he uses when speaking to his people, the words he uses when speaking to allies, the words he uses when speaking at the UN, and the words he uses in situations such as this.

It is also a matter of looking at the man's history, and the things he has done in the past. He has to do with looking at the present and see the dots that are connected between many situations in the Middle East. It has to do with connecting the dots to N Korea.

Bury your head in the sand if you wish, but the man has stated numerous times that the "West" is an enemy and that The US and Israel are at the top of that list. He is not an Maerican citizen, despises the values of our country, and wishes to see shia law spread throughout the globe.

I say let the man speak.....Don't underestimate him - He might come up with a way that deescalates the tensions in the region.

In the face of it all, this guy is very courageous and has the fortitude to stand tall before his people and stick to his guns. Conversely, Bush and his cronies have done nothing but repeatedly lie to the American people.

I will go out of my way to locate a venue that lets me hear his speech at Columbia.

Those who are afraid of another man's speech, are not worthy to speak themselves.

This is one of the reason I do not like the UN being in the US. Put it in Geneva or somewhere else that is considered neutral ground.

Orion

Well ,we met w/ China, while they were helping to kill our soldiers in Korea, and then in Veitnam.

Whet the big deal here?

And it was us(rather idiot bush),that called them an enemy.

Get it straight.

I think bush needs a boggy man,to scare the cowards into supporting him.

Did he say that ISRAEL should be destroyed or that the GOVERNMENT of ISRAEL needed to be disbanded before any true reconcilliation could occur?

There was a Declaration of War? When?

I'd suggest that Bush has done more damage to the nation, with his capitulation to Bin Ladin's demands and his subsequent destruction of freedom and liberty, than ANYONE, wouldn't you?

I mean, Before Bush, we didn't ever hold people without a lawyer and trial for 1300 days, did we? And that's not even bringing up the torture and murder.

Columbia University is going to be welcoming the Iranian President early next week and the university has given every excuse from free speech to "respecting opposing views to our country's policies."

But keep in mind this is the same university that stormed the stage when the "Minutemen" went there to speak. This university refuses to allow military recruiters on campus and also refuses to allow an ROTC. Walk around that campus with a military uniform and you will probably incite a riot.

I think universities like Columbia are a complete radical left-wing joke. Columbia university is a perfect example of what is wrong with the academia in this nation. They preach anti-Americanism. They give a platform to a dictator that suppresses democracy, freedom of speech, religion, and of the press and they call this "respecting opposing viewpoints." But they refuse to allow the other viewpoint to be made. Do you think they would allow the Israeli prime minister to speak and not storm the stage? Would they allow Bush to speak? Hell no.

What I found interesting this moring is that CNN reported on this stating that the group at Columbia, THE YOUNG REPUBLICANS, invited him.

Uh... yeah... we did.

We also took all their property and their land. Little incident during WWII with the Japanese... you know, when buttons that said "JAP HUNTING LISCENSE: EXPIRES NEVER!" were handed out...

Good Point. Perhaps the Congressional Declaration of War sorta-almost legitimizes the Internment. We haven't reached that point here.

This man MUST be allowed to speak:
quote:

—On executions of homosexuals in Iran: In Iran we don't have homosexuals like in your country. We don't have that like in your country. ... In Iran we do not have this phenomenon. I don't know who's told you that we have this.  Source: http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8RS115O0&show_article=1

Read the quote and then watch the clip: http://www.breitbart.tv/html/5963.html

The man speaks as the President of his country and its people. More light, not less, is needed. That way people supporting him and his regime can stand behind the banners and buzz-words of this man and his country.
quote:

—On nuclear research: Some big powers create a monopoly over science and prevent other nations in achieving scientific development as well. This, too, is one of the surprises of our time. Some big powers do not want to see the progress of other societies and nations. They turn to thousands of reasons, make allegations, place economic sanctions to prevent other nations from developing and advancing, all resulting from their distance from human values and the teachings of the divine prophets. Regretfully, they have not been trained to serve mankind.

How can anyone argue the integrity of this man. Who better to trust with the "peaceful" use of nuclear power? The world would be a better and safer place if Iran, Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Turkey, Libya and Egypt all could join in and be part of the 'nuclear family' as Israel. Why should the West and the US in particular stand in the way of the "progress of other societies and nations"?

No longer would some paranoid leader be able to use as an excuse concern over nuclear proliferation. All concern future wars to "find" WMD's would be eliminated. If some mushroom clouds appear off in the horizon, chances are if you can 'enjoy' the sunsets created you've still got a chance for one last big night of partying.

All that's required is to allow these countries of peaceful followers of the "teaching of the divine prophets" to develop some or give them some. A sure path to "peace in our time!" Hey Neville!! - People are screaming for your wisdom! We need you!

In the end I think it just worsened Amadinejad's credibility...

He said at the speech that the "Holocaust is like physics, nothing is certain."
This is a guy that truely does think like Hitler. He thinks if you tell a lie often enough it will become the truth. This guy goes around the world at every place he can and tells people that the holocaust did not occur and that the real evil in the world is jews and their conspiracies.

Yet people wonder why Israel feels the need to defend themselves from this dictator.

Lie. As proven by his remarks today at Columbia.

Ahmadinejad denied he had questioned the existence of the Holocaust.

"Granted this happened, what does it have to do with the Palestinian people?" he said.

OK, whatever you say... You want to stick up for a guy that attended a 2-day conference of Holocaust deniers....that's decision. For the past few years he has stated that the holocaust is lie.

The president of Columbia University even labeled Amadinejad as holocaust denier. One of the reasons he didn't scream it in this forum like he has in the past is because the criticism he is getting back in Iran for having that belief.

-----------------------------------------
Bollinger opened by aggressively taking on Ahmadinejad's past statements about the Holocaust.
"In a December 2005 state television broadcast, you described the Holocaust as the fabricated legend," he said. "One year later, you held a two-day conference of Holocaust deniers."

Bollinger said that might fool the illiterate and ignorant.

"When you come to a place like this, it makes you simply ridiculous. The truth is that the Holocaust is the most documented event in human history," he said.

Ahmadinejad denied he had questioned the existence of the Holocaust.

"Granted this happened, what does it have to do with the Palestinian people?" he said.

But Ahmadinejad went on to say that he was defending the rights of European scholars, an apparent reference to a small number who have been prosecuted under national laws for denying or minimizing the Holocaust.
"There's nothing known as absolute," he said.

Fargle, why are you so quick to defend and stick up for 3rd world dictators and then bash American democracy? Like I said in another post, I can't figure out what kind of government you support. You bash democracy saying all the elections are fixed.... you bash Bush and the US government all the time... yet you stand up for this dictator as he claims he wants to wipe Israel off the map.

Help me out here man. Something doesn't sound right....

Am I "Standing Up" for him, or criticizing the US Propaganda Machine? I don't know anymore.

I think the whole manufactured outrage about the "holocaust denier" shit is pretty much the Adminstration's way of deflecting Adminijahad's very real valid criticism of US foreign policy.

Look, Bush LIED HIS WAY INTO IRAQ. So he's got ZERO CREDIBILITY. ZERO. He's been PROVEN to AT BEST, be a complete and total fuckup. At worst, he's a criminal. But in either case, how much crack do you need to smoke to give him another turn at-bat?

I don't bash "American Democracy". I bash the Criminals sitting in office in the Executive Branch, and their supporters.

You need to accept this one simple fact. The USA Can NEVER speak from the moral high-ground anymore. NEVER.

It has lost that privilege when it did shit like torture Padilla for 1300 days BEFORE giving him something sorta like "due process".
