i attend a methodist church and identify as an eclectic christian mystic...

Christianity like most western religion, believe in praying to a god in hope that they make the world a better place. Being raised around eastern religion I believe in bettering my self before helping to better the world.
This is Man's world the only thing that can change it are the hands of Man.
(I use this in the genral context meaning all mankind, so Im not leaveing women out here.)

you are still being closed minded and prejudice but i will chalk it up to ignorance...if my church were not about better ourselves, as individuals and the helping to better the community first and then the world,..i would not attend it...

Ok I'm not completely familar with every single one of the different scects of Christianity. But every time the shit hits the fan. people start blaming, praying to, or fosaking their respective god. Personally when shit hits the fan I leave the room...just kidding.
In my experiance when I'm in trouble or there is some sort of crisis I dont go to my knees to rely on someone else. I put my ass in gear and do something about it. When the heat is on the only person I look to, to pull my bacon out of the fire is me. (Oh yeah! I'm a Macho Man!)
Im not saying religion is bad, it gives hope to those who can't stand on their own and gives others someone to blame other than them selves.
Like water, religion is great but too much can kill ya.

If you had gone to college your self you would know how much money it requires. Also I live in the whore's vagina of the world, aka america, jobs are far and few between.
