I'm basically a god. Basically.

That's sexy.  Very nice.

And is it cool if I answer that question subtee had for us on here?

Well let me ask you both then, the inspired and the inspirer...is it wrong to be eating double stuff oreos and drinking Merlot at the office? 'Cause that's what i'm doing now. (Yay essay writer! i'm an English major and there is some major hatin' going on on another thread about "grammar natzi's and whatnot. ~shiver~)

How, how do oreas go with wine? Yuck.

Yes it is wrong. All wrong. Totally, wrong. You need cheese and fruit. Maybe some Bri, Smoked Cheddar, Petite Basque, Gooda... Add some apple, slice of pear, grapes (not too necessary with the Merlot).
Maybe get some bread in there to boot. Actually, yes, you definitely need bread.

I have made myself ravenous.

As long as it doesn't become a pattern.
I work alone.
Like Batman.
Yes.

Or...you know...Batman before Robin...

Well, yes. That stuff's good too. But it's not available to me. I could have had Strawberry Twizzlers..."As Always a Low Fat Snack!"

Would that have been a better choice? It's kinda more fruity...

There are two types of people in this world in relation to how they view it. Which are you?

No! If you insist on mixing booz and sugar then get some smirnoff.

pardon me, but masturbation is never stupid. When you're as old as I am, it evolves into a high art form that rivals all the works of Michelangelo all smashed together in one big giant ... err ... art ... and ... eh ... philosophy ... thingie.

I never said masturbation was stupid.

What I meant by that was that the simplification of a possibly very real and confounding personal problem had been answered quite eloquently and beautifully, and you responded with crudeness, no matter the validity of the statement.  That sort of thing makes people want to give up trying to actually think about this kind of stuff in the first place.  I'm not saying you're wrong, bat, I'm saying that he should not be hindered by such things.  Basically, the imperative was not directed at you, it wasn't about you, and it wasn't for you.

When I wrote that, the only way in which you mattered was as the producer of a reference.

Now, before I ruin Jinger's thread, I'm going to leave it altogether.  May you live in interesting times and attract the notice of those in high places.

Let us stay on point. Keep the questions coming!
I'm itching for someone to ask the right one, the one I've been wating for. But I refuse to answer it for myself.
So ask away!

Enough to wave if he saw you, but not enough to marry you.
Enough to reply to an email, but not enough to buy you a christmas present.
Enough to hug you at a party, but not enough stay on the phone for three hours listening to you complain about work.

Enough to criticize you honestly.

On that note...I'm going to bed.

Please keep up the questions! And I'm talking to everyone here...don't be shy!

Here's an oddball sort of question that's been on my mind for the past ten minutes or so...

Is it me or are spiders getting lazy? I've adorned the exterior of the house with fake cobwebs to go with the spirit of Halloween, and damn it if the spiders have ceased making their own webs and commandeered my fake webs for their own purposes.

Just curious to read another's take on this change in the natural behavior of spiders. Thanks.

Ok this is kind of a biggie. (It's not the One question you're looking for sweetie, sorry.)

Need help, though. I imight have to have dinner with ex husband ("the creature") tonight because of a dealio with the UMs. So. Do i dress down, try to look as crappy as possible, maybe some oversized sweat pants, Birkenstocks with socks, messy ponytail, no make up and a horizontal-stripped red/orange hoodie, with coffee stains on the boobage arear so i won't risk any danger of attracting his attention again? (Ew. i just threw up a lil bit in my mouth.)

Or, do i dress up: my Victoria Secret wrap-around blouse (which, frankly doesn't really keep much a Secret), form-fitting-but-swirly-at -the bottom black skirt, black platform pumps and head--hair and face-- all "done" so that he can eat his stone-cold, lying, cheating, worthless slab of flesh he calls a heart out?

I'm not bitter.

'k thanks!

Huh. That is weird.

In terms of behavior spiders are relatively solitary animals, they're usually only around to mate or when they've just been born. Though webs might be close together, there isn't a lot of interraction.

Sorry that doesn't answer your question at all...I just wanted to say it. I'm sorry.

To answer your question, I am as stumped as you are, especially seeing as how cotton is by no means a good replacement for spider silk.
But spiders are all opportunists, so I imagine that yes...they did get lazy. That or they're laying eggs or something?

Strange.
