Ultimately power corrupts.

I think a female GWB would be worse than a male GWB.

I also think women in power working with othe women in power is generally a recipe for disaster.

what is a GWB ??

Not I. Informed choice is my rule. You want to be a male submissive, great. You want all males to be submissive, unacceptable. You do not take away someone else's choice of how to live their own lives.

Taking this post in the whimsical manner in which it was meant - I'd be the king of the world and all women would be my personal slaves. I can't think of what I'd do with the men, so, I'd banish them to Mars, I guess.

I personally think a "utopia" would be cool... Would i like it if the world were "my perfect ideal?"....yeah sure...who wouldn't like that? Am I happy with the Creators design? yes I am....so in reality who am I to change anything?

I just feel very curious about something I've noticed a lot of lately. And though I know, most of you who post here seem very tolerant, and not too single-minded, or at least don't post opinions on more controversial topics.... it does seem that many people I've met who feel that they are a sub/slave or a Dom/me..... feel like the world should be lead by men, or by women, depending which sex and position they are. How many of you also would change the world to center around your D/s position, if humanly possible? (e.g. you're a male subbie, and you think that all women should be Dommes, it's the most natural, and you wish all men were treated as property, or any other possible variant). Thanks!
Would I? Yes, I would.

Most people want the world to be "Different, but not TOO different."

That includes me, I agree with some things being wrong, no matter who does them.  But my list of "always wrong things" tend to be a lot smaller than most, and my list of things that make me go "blech" is definitely smaller than most.

It is a very interesting point - in theory if you identify as a female submissive/slave would you thus view all males as dominant and vice versa. The reality is it all works on an individual level and one person is either submissive or dominant to the other - if you are choosing this lifestyle.

The reason I go for male dominants is that I am a straight female sub. To be blunt, I don't think that many of the men on this site who claim to be doms or masters(This statement is not directed at the name that the post will say it is in reply to) should call themselves that and just have over inflated egos.

To me, this is just asking if some of the things I look for in partners, that is, male and dominant makes them suitable to lead. Oh god no is my answer.

I remember those days. Now the list of things that used to make me go "blech" tend to only inspire me to want to nap.

I believe men and women are inherently equal.  I don't believe in female supremacy or male supremacy.  However I do feel that *generally* speaking (as in not 100% so plz dont jump down my throat anyone about how your gay uncle Bobby was a better makeup artist than I could ever hope to be unless you want to hear my opinions of homosexuality. And I have a feeling you don't.) there are 'gender roles' that each gender is better suited for.

I also feel like our society has lost something by pitting men and women against each other in the workforce, basically creating the desire for a 2 income household.  I realize that 60 years ago men and women of the working classes both worked out of need, but middle class women back then would rather have 1 car and stay at home with their children than have 2 cars, a giant TV, and kids in day care.  Priorities and all.

I don't know if I would change the world if I could.  I think that the world shapes itself, and if enough people are dissatisfied they shift their lifestyles accordingly.  When I move in with my man I literally won't be able to work for the first few months, until I get the right sort of visa.  I'll still be able to bring in some income under the table considering I haven't had a paycheck in the past 14 months (I'm a Pro Domme) but I'll also be able to keep the house spotless, bring him lunch at work, cook dinner, and more importantly, create a sense of 'home' for him to come back to.  I want him to know that after a stressful day he will come home to a kiss from his woman, not a voicemail saying 'meeting ran late, order pizza plz.'

That's *my* world, and I can shape my own world.  I honestly don't think now is the best time to have a female president in America (first off, because it would be Hillary. Second off, because it would weaken our image in the eyes of the Muslim countries who already hate us and want to bomb us to hell).  I do think that this country needs to regain some of the values it lost, but I also know that you can't enforce morality on anyone - it has to come from within.  I think there's been a definite trend toward traditional values, especially since 9/11, and I for one welcome that change.

Did this even answer the question or was it just a bunch of rambling?

I doubt that having a female president is going to help our case with people who already want to kill us. What, are they going to want to kill us...twice or something? And what about people inside our country who aspire to become president? Sorry, we can't have you be president, it might piss off people that are trying to kill us. If that were the case, we should probably not go into other countries and attempt to kill the people who want to kill us, it tends to piss off the people who want to kill us for some strange reason.

However, I think that tradtional values are great for you. In my opinion, the U.S. is far too mired in ye olde time values, and needs to move forward. Also, I don't see why how you want to run your household should affect me, or anyone else. Our values shouldn't affect yours, but if my guy was unhappy that I chose a career over staying home, we're simply not compatible.

As for the gender role thing...Have you looked at a culture where the gender roles are switched? If not, you are merely assuming that people work better in the gender roles they have been assigned without looking at the reverse. Also remember that there are not only two gender roles. Other cultures have different opinions on what it means to be a man or a woman, and several do acknowledge transgender idenities.

True, but that only addresses my secondary reasons.  My first reason still stands - It would be Hillary

Agreed 100%.  My world and my life are my own to live - yours are your own.  I very rarely make a point of interfering with anyone else's choices (ie I think abortion is an abomination but if the decision to outlaw it rested on my shoulders I would keep it legal simply because our world is so messed up that if a mother is going to kill her fetus she shouldn't have it anyway.  I also think homosexuality is a mutation of nature but would let them get married legally if I had to choose.)

I believe there are 2 genders, and consider transgender identities to be a sort of mutation of the personality, similar to how Down's Syndrome is a mutation of the genes.  I'm not sure what causes homosexuality or transgendered identities, but the general consensus says the desires are inborn.  And granted some mutations do have advantages.  I still see it as a mutation.

And to answer your question I haven't seen any cultures where they are reversed but would be very interested in any links or info you have because anthropology has always piqued my interest.
