ORIGINAL: thompsonx FirmhandKY: I do not debate and I do not pick fights. I was simply pointing out the fallacy in your statement. That fallacy being that the opinion of one man does not represent the opinion of the general public. thompson thompson, You fail to grasp the meaning of "popular" in the context of the discussion i.e. the idea of "Freedom Fries" wasn't originated by politicians, it was originated by people from the general public, therefore "popular" as in the first definition of the word in the Merrian Webster dictionary. Perhaps you are not familiar with this use of the word "popular", and only with the understanding of "popular" as in "the socially popular girl became the homecoming queen". Different meaning. And you are "picking a fight", even if just a rhetorical one, by attempting to cast my words in terms that favor your interpretation of my intent - and in the most negative light - since you can't attack the the factual content of my statements. In fact, you are attempting to deceive, lie and dissemble for your own political and ideological purposes. That's "picking a fight" in anyone's lexicon. Firm
