ORIGINAL: luckydog1 Thanks for the vivid example of the difference between you recollection and reality owner59. It has been in the dictionary since the 1930s. And that is not at all what it means. Ha!, Another gotcha moment.he-he.Try again... Of course it`s meant different things,at different times.Pffff..."1930,...lol,good one. When the fuck was the word "liberal",changed from it`s real meaning, into the "dirty word",that republicans made of it today?!lol Are you saying this ,with a straight face? You`d be lying,if you said that the term wasn`t used by neo-cons/republicans,to describe democrats, for that lst 20 years. But don`t let that stop you. Don`t recall any democrats/liberals,calling anyone "politically correct",for any reason. Can you give some examples of that? I also remember that Bush I,was into decrying "spacial interest groups".Saying they were the cause of all the ills,in Washington DC.Over and over again,he demonized them. Of course(hypocrisy being an integral part of being a republican),he was only talking about liberal special interest groups.lol Pretending and talking, like it was only the liberals, who had special interest groups.lol Bush was deceiving people, that only gay, women`s,minority, environmental groups, etc., were in Washington, and that republicans also didn`t had their own fair share of "special interest groups",starting with big business and the Christean right. If you have a recolection of liberals using the phrase, could you give it to us? It was only my recollection, but accurate,I believe.I`ll leave the parsing,to the "factinistas".
