Well, I don't know what it is in the army, but in the Corps it's Unathorized Absence. I think it results in a Big chicken dinner, I.e. Bad conduct discharge, along with an assload of time in the brig.

Nope, just have a possible murderous intent, be a member of, or associated with intent to aid the enemy. I can kill someone with my hands and legs but technically I'm not armed. Now ROE states that at the moment your allowed only to fire on people who seem to have hostile intent to you. I.e. pointing a weapon at you or something similer, and the insurgents in Haditha did have weapons, and the insurgent in that video could have had a hand grenade or IED strapped to his body. Its happened before and the end result is a dead American. Better to be safe then sorry.

SOP, special operating precedure. If a vehicle refuses to stop, or could possibly have an IED in it or anything at all, we're allowed to engage. Its to save american lives.

Anyway, I'm bored with this conversation. I'm gonna go back to being quite over here in the corner

Which enemy? The Sunnis attacking Shias, or the Shias attacking Sunnis? Or maybe the Kurds?

Hah!...I'm not getting sucked into this... Who ever we're told is the enemy, and who who is shooting at us.

Now, really, lemme get back to my corner

I think in general the military forces reflect our values as a nation… to blame the whole military for the actions of a few under extreme pressure is wrong….If I had to choose a force to occupy my land…it would be Americans

You and I may not agree with the reasons and people that sent them there… I sure don’t…but at least I will not criticize our arm forces when I don’t know the facts or the total picture…Real I think that is what you are doing… watching videos without background or the whole story…choosing to assume the worst… hell who knows who makes those videos. You sure don’t know what led up to the start of a video or what happens after.

Why take the actions of a few dozen men then assume all troops are acting that way.

Please figure a way to bring our troops home…use your energy where it will help… spreading half-truths and villainizing  our children is despicable.

So they were driving away from the camera...  What were they driving toward?

It simply comes down to who gets the benefit of the doubt.  Celebrate your freedom to make that decision yourself.  It's pretty rare.

What if it was a bus full of weapons? Would you drive it towards americans if all you were doing is transporting them?

they were shooting after these guys went past.  They were already around the corner and they were starting to run after them! You know thats shooting them in the back after there is no longer a threat or at least the last time i checked unarmed people arent to much of a threat to soldiers with guns.  Thanks I also exercise the freedom to think for myself.  The best defense against weapons of mass delusion.

What about the senate who broke their oaths and passed legislation, (the patriot act) without even reading it usurping our rights?

What about this administration who broke their oath by falsely taking us into war by terrorizing the american people with weapons of mass delusion?

What about them?  They broke their oath too.  Whats their label?

So what about these guys?  Punks too?

I'd like to know in which universe a tornado can drive a drinking straw thru a tree, but a jet airliner travelling three times the speed, and weighing oh lets say for agrument's sake,  250,000 pounds heavier than the straw, can't penetrate a glass and steel structure.

On to the OP, I say shoot the fuckin cowardly Bastard.

Well subrob, what are you smokin man?  Your expert analysis is sheer brilliance!  You obviously have absolutely no clue of what you are talking about if you think a tornado can drive a straw through a tree where the straw is moving the same speed as we used to set our BB guns to make sure they didnt penatrate the skin!  I mean buddy this is to fucking funny!

I am sorry man but this is just to hilarious.   You also believe that a thin aluminum airplane with a fiberglass nose can fly right on through 1/2" thick x 14" x 14" steel, rip up the 4" thick concrete flooring and then go completely through another steel wall of the same and emerge from the other side in "pristine" completely unscratched condition and even more miraculously it left "NO HOLE" in the other side?  Dayum dood you are on better shit than lucky!

another victim of terrorism, and weapons of mass delusion.

granted; while it is no longer stated in the bor as you can see this government took conscience into consideration much more seriously once upon a time.
