grlneedstolearn -> Big boned women (12/3/2007 9:20:33 PM)

There have been quite a few threads on what masters look for in a bigger female sub, what's a deal breaker with a bigger female, or even clothing for them. But what really constitutes as big bone? Is a size 14-18 big boned? Is it size 12-16?  i'm just a little confused on what it constitutes.
Also, what does it mean when people in their profiles say they want a heigh/weight proportante submissive/slave?
    Thank you

Literally it means your bone structure is larger than average.  However, it's really only a small percentage of people who have larger bones which can account for their larger size. I definitely have small bone structure, I simply am lucky enough to have good curves in the right places so that I tend to look like I weigh a lot less than I do- however it's still pretty obvious that I'm fat.

And it's not about size- I'd look pretty sickly at a size 8 I think, while someone else might look a little pudgy.

Which is what people generally mean by HWP- that you fit your structure.  If you are 5'4, being above 140 is getting to more weight than your frame really fits best in.  If you are 6'4, 140 is less weight than your frame really fits best in.

laurell3 -> RE: Big boned women (12/3/2007 9:34:46 PM)

I don't think when they say "big boned" they really mean that.  I have a medium to large frame, but I weigh 125 pounds.  I would doubt they really would have much interest in someone merely for their bones.  Although, I guess anything could be a fetish [8D]

Kumasan2 -> RE: Big boned women (12/3/2007 9:36:54 PM)

It is said that Marilyn Monroe wore a size 14 dress.  And that would be most lovely with me to see my slave in such an outfit.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I personally like a girl who has a little "extra" on her frame, since I have a LOT extra on mine.  As long as her weight doesn't cause health issues I really don't have an issue.  My last slave averaged about 200 lbs and was definitely in good shape.  My ex-wife was a size 18 or so and I thought she was beautiful (and still is).

It's all in the eyes of the beholder.  I guess I probably wouldn't want Jabba the Hutt's little sister but anything reasonably less is OK by me.  I've always understood "weight and height proportional" to mean that the person is neither excessively thin (do you hear me, Nicole Ritchie?) or morbidly obese.  I would consider Rosanne to exceed the "proportional" definition.

I consider Wynnona Judd, Kate Winslet, Margaret Cho, and Queen Latifah to be very attractive women even though by Hollywood's standards they're fat.  I'd love to see any (or all) kneeling before me.

As usual, my 2 cents' worth of opinion.

Thank you both LA and laurell3 for helping with this issue. i've been called having a "big boned structure" which i tend to think of it as being a little overweight if not overweight. i'm ok with how i look btw

Just to clarify, I wasn't suggesting you shouldn't be ok with how you look.  I actually am thin but have incredibly long legs and a rather large rib cage and long arms.  Trust me, I'm sure many would think I had an odd body.  I'm used to it and accept myself the way I am and my partner does as well and I think that's really all that matters to me at least.

chellekitty -> RE: Big boned women (12/3/2007 9:52:07 PM)

i have a large bone structure...it can be told most obviously on places like my wrists and ankles where there is no muscle or fat to hide the bone structure, i cannot wear a woman's bracelet, watch or anklet, they won't close...it is also shocking to most people that when i am standing you can feel my hip bones...i wear a size 24 currently, loosing inches on my stomach (but not weight, it is bizzare) and it will be down to a 22 within a month or so if i continue as i have...my hips will never be less wide when looking at me from the front or back...i happen to like the way i look, and so do many others...i don't have any problems finding partners...the problems i have are from health professionals who assume that i eat a lot and it is all fat...its not...yes, there is some fat on me, but there is also a lot of bone and a good deal of muscle...i have a nice ass that does not jiggle...
i have learned that men have responded to me being confident with who i am, no matter what i look like on the outside...at my heaviest i could have had a date at the drop of a hat....be comfortable and happy with who you are and people will respond to that...

good luck
chelle

Some guys are into the "sports" model.   Real men need a slave who's built for long term riding comfort.

In other words, this dog wants some meat on the bones.

From what i've seen, deal-breaker is being unhealthy rather than size itself.  Most would consider me height/weight proportionate but i'm heavier than my bone structure dictates.  There was a time when i wieghed just under 100lbs and i heard a lot of comments about looking unhealthy.  Now i look better but i know my blood pressure would thank me for shedding about 25lbs.

PlayfulGoddess -> RE: Big boned women (12/4/2007 1:57:54 AM)

I have an unusual bone structure as well.

I'm long-limbed, legs with a 34" inseam, long graceful arms, neck and feet. My wrists/ankles are very slight tho, my left wrist is 5 5/8" which is pretty slender considering I'm tall and BROAD shouldered. (My shoulders are sometimes as wider or wider than some of the men I've seen) Same deal with my feet--I have high arches/insteps, wear (generally) a 9 1/2 NARROW shoe. While growing up my shoe width was AAA-now (from spreading out in a lifetime) it's more like A or AA LOL

From my arms and legs, I have a graceful dancers "look", from da booty, I MIGHT be related to j-LO or tyra banks (blushes then laughs)

desertdancer -> RE: Big boned women (12/4/2007 2:27:46 AM)

LA, come on now.  I just had yet another peek at your profile and your pics and you are so not fat.  Your not even fluffly.  Your curvy and I think you look great.

I am a tall girl, I'm 5'11 and 1 half.  I'm leggy and  also curvy in all the right places.  I've been very thin and been fluffy and been just right.    I can say that I didn't carry very thin well, I looked gaunt.  though I am taller then your average girl and would say I am big boned I am also delicate.  I have tappered fingers and slim wrists.  I'm all a girl should look like, just a little taller.

At all those points I was never hurting for someone to ask me out.  What one man finds unattractive another man will find paradise.  Who knows what brings attraction or what makes a person regerster someone as beautiful, why question it?

That is what I think when someone says big boned, that their bones are bigger and wrists are an excellent place to see that.  I am about average; Alandra on the other hand has a much bigger wrist than I do, so she has a large bone structure.

Like Lucky, I carry my weight really well.  People are generally shocked when I tell them how much I weigh.  I also weigh about the same amount now as I did at the beginning of the year, but I have lost a lot of inches in the past year and I have gone down a dress size or two.  I am replacing fat with muscle.

Guaging people by weight alone is rather meaningless to me.  Whether someone is healthy or not is more important to me.

PsyVamp -> RE: Big boned women (12/4/2007 5:21:37 AM)

I've got longer legs and arms, but a short torso.  My inseam is about 34" also, which makes it rather hard to find jeans and pants long enough without paying an arm and a leg.
My bones at the wrist and ankles show that they are not small.  I have a bigger than average frame but not "huge".  Since I wear between a 10-12, it would depend on a person's individual definition of "big".
I guess the best way to describe me would be average to curvy?  Doesn't matter,  I've been this size (plus or minus 20 pounds) since high school, I can say that this is me and, usually, I like me just fine.

(Personal pet peeve)

People always say this, without realizing that the sizes within the clothing industry are not only not standardized, but that a 1950s size 14 is not a modern size 14. I currently wear a size 10 in modern clothing; however, in 1950s clothing, my size is an 18/20 - which equates to a 30-31" waist in both instances. (A vintage size 14 is roughly a 25-26" waist, whereas a modern size 14 is closer to a 32-34" waist.)

As for HWP - it's a simple way of saying one needs to look like they "fit" their body. At 5'8" and 150, I am considered HWP by most, but I probably wouldn't be if I were the same weight and 8+ inches shorter or taller.

PsyVamp -> RE: Big boned women (12/4/2007 5:54:39 AM)

This is interesting, so vintage USA clothing is the same in sizing as current European clothing?
Or, is the Marilyn Monroe 14 closer to a junior 14 as opposed to a Misses 14?

Dang women's sizes anyway..wish they'd go standard and the hell with the numbers.

mnottertail -> RE: Big boned women (12/4/2007 6:00:10 AM)

LOL, PsyVamp----I agree, that may be part of what makes women nuts...men wouldn't be able to deal with womens sizing......all we got is S,M,L,XL,XXL,XXXL,XXXL and dead.

Hell they even simplify shoes for us now, for the most part, which takes away the halfs.

But doesn't this subject line, Big Boned Women, just cry out to the gods for a country song?

Hank Williams

OmegaG -> RE: Big boned women (12/4/2007 6:05:28 AM)

Marilyn's size 14 in 1960 was a size 9 in the 1980s and is a size 5-7 now.

PsyVamp -> RE: Big boned women (12/4/2007 6:25:31 AM)

*smiles*  Hank Williams ... that would do it for sure.

Even when they make women's clothing in s/m/l/xl... its still not a standard... it varies from manufacturer to manufacturer... so I guess I'm a 10/12/16/18 m/l/xl....  depending on the brand/age group/time of day/day of the month/whims of the fashion industry....etc.
Do NOT get me started on shoes..
lol

mnottertail -> RE: Big boned women (12/4/2007 6:29:35 AM)

THAT is why women take a long time to shop.......and men grow impatient.....goddammit, don't ask if your ass looks fat in this, that's the 19th time you asked me today!!!!!!

Now, this is easily solvable----

Honey, here is a wad of cash, you go shopping and when you're done pick me up at the bar, I will be moheftigly drunk (and ahead of time, want you to know that nothing could make your ass look fat).....luv ya.
